Jammeh Fired 120 Ministers in 15 Years-OJ Tells VOA
Says Jammeh Has Sacked More Ministers Than Any Leader In Africa
Jammeh Is Taking The Wrong Approach To Fight Corruption
“The Gambia has seen the most hostile environment for the independent press, I think in the whole of Africa for the last fifteen years,” OJ opined.
By Pa Nderry M’Bai, Raleigh NC.
Leader of Gambia’s People’s Progressive Party (PPP’S) Omar Amadou Jallow (OJ), has disclosed that President Yahya Jammeh has so far sacked over 120 state Ministers since coming to power fifteen years ago—ranking (Jammeh’s) Government as the highest list of Ministers ever sacked on the African continent in history. Mr. Jallow was speaking in an Exclusive interview with the Voice Of America Daybreak Africa Service. The erstwhile Agriculture Minister strongly faulted Jammeh’s way of fighting graft in the impoverished West African country—saying that Jammeh has woefully failed in tackling corruption in The Gambia. Mr. Jallow was the least pleased with the way Mr. Jammeh hires and fires Ministers without justification. Jallow said a credible government would have explained the circumstances surrounding of such massive sacking of Ministers and if need be—investigate and prosecute those linked to corruption related practices. “These are all whitewashing policies because I didn’t see any effective means—that he is using to eradicate corruption. If he wants to eradicate corruption, the Ministers who are sacked has to be investigated and taken before the court of law. But I think The Gambia has become the country that would go in the disciples of records as the country that has sacked more Ministers in fifteen years than any country in the world. Sacking of Ministers has been the policies of this Government since 1994,” Jallow said.

Editorial: Fear Is Tearing Jammeh’s Life Apart !!!
Jammeh’s IQ Is Below Expectations
To many here in Banjul, the President Yahya Jammeh is mentally insane. His personal disposition suggests that he is indeed ill and therefore needs urgent help. Jammeh’s IQ is below expectations. Pictures never lie. Take a look at this image—in which Jammeh is acting like a retarded thug— who is about to stir a fight with his cabinet Ministers. Jammeh’s ailing mental health condition is driving him crazy. He is not with his senses at all. He does only act like a maroon, but his actions confirmed beyond all reasonable doubts that he is indeed mentally challenged.

Nigeria: IS YAR’ADUA THE BEST THE NORTH CAN DO? Monday, February 08, 2010 (417 reads)
IS YAR’ADUA THE BEST THE NORTH CAN DO?
By NAIWU OSAHON
I suspect a mischief maker deliberately imposed Yar’Adua on us to create the excuse to discredit and disgrace the North. He wanted us to believe that Yar’Adua is the best the North can produce and the trick worked. A perfect illustration of our current leadership nightmare was succinctly captured in a Nigerian newspaper cartoon published not too long ago. The cartoon deserves to win the Nobel Prize for its eloquence and brilliance. It was a picture of Yar’Adua, completely fagged out on his back in bed, snoring heavily in deep slumber, with a book entitled the Seven Points Agenda, visibly tucked away under his pillow. Two of his political colleagues who had visited his room and found him sleeping, where walking away from the room discussing him. One said in response to the other’s remarks about Yar’Adua, “He is not sleeping, he is meditating.” On the rare occasion he manages to open his eyes briefly, it is to protect his criminal friends.

Gambia: Agenda 2011: leaders of opposition parties must do the right thing Monday, February 08, 2010 (495 reads)
Agenda 2011: leaders of opposition parties must do the right thing
….Calls For Opposition Unity
By Jeggan Grey-Johnson
If doing the same thing over and expecting a different result tantamount to insanity, then election year 2011 will be a turning point for the Gambia and its opposition parties. If they proceed to repeat fundamental mistakes of the previous three election cycles, over a period of 15 years, by splintering, then they would prove to all and sundry that they are all insane. And insanity, according to the 1997 constitution, disqualifies persons from standing for office. If they however, decide to do the right thing and unite, as many have called for, then they will be worthy of the privilege to occupy space in public office. But 2011 goes beyond mere occupancy of public office. The next 21 months will be the most crucial period of Gambia’s political history. It will be a time that will call into question the integrity of political opposition, whereby its utterances of democracy, tolerance, public spiritedness, and even internal governance architecture will be scrutinized.

IEC To Disband Dysfunctional Political Parties In Gambia
Vice Chairman Malleh Sallah Says Commission Would Expunge Dormant Parties From The Electoral Register
By Staff Reporter Malick Bah & Pa Nderry M’Bai Banjul
The country’s main Electoral Body---the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) is working on disbanding non functional political parties currently registered with the Commission, the Freedom Newspaper can authoritatively report. The IEC said it would deregister inactive, or dormant political parties in The Gambia. Dysfunctional political parties are likely to receive a letter in the mail—indicating that the IEC had banned them from participating in future elections, in view of their questionable credentials as legitimate parties. According to our sources, who are familiar with the IEC’s operations in The Gambia, the Commission's officials are working on modalities to come to terms in order to ban the political parties—which have not been functioning for the past years and are still registered with the country's main electoral body.

AfrobeatRadio Contributor Praises Freedom Editor For Picking On Jammeh
Dear Mr. Pa Nderry M'Bai,
Thank you for inspiring me with your editorial, titled "Jammeh Stirs Drama At The Airport-As President Cancels Ethiopia Trip", to create this blog post: http://afrobeatradio.com/?p=2413
If desired by you, I could add your inspiration credit to the above AR post's footer with a link of your choice.
Also, I spoke recently with my local collaborator, Wuyi Jacobs, who produces a bi-weekly AfrobeatRadio program on WBAI 99.5.FM NYC, and he mentioned to me that he plans a short exposé of Pres. Jammeh, for his on-air program; Mr. President definitely requires as much exposé as possible. Maybe you would be interested in a collaboration with Wuyi, and/or in a phone-based participation in that live program. I don't have enough specific information yet, nor I am directly involved in the WBAI production, but I could keep you posted.
Best Regards,
Mark Bajkowski,
Contributor, AfrobeatRadio.com

News Analysis: No Justice In Gambia’s Islamic Jurisprudence
Corrupt Muslim Judges Tearing Matrimonial Families In The US
Faked Divorce Certificates Racketeering Uncovered
Islam is a noble religion, but off late we have witnessed the emergence of so called “religious leaders” in The Gambia, and elsewhere across the African continent—whose primary occupation is to enrich themselves to the expense of poor Muslims, who relied on them for the dispensation of justice. Our story line today focuses on Gambia’s “ rotten” Islamic jurisprudence-which is increasingly becoming a moneymaking venture for some “greedy and dishonest” Islamic judges known as “ Cadis” here in Banjul. This story, we are releasing today is worth pursuing by the Serre-Kunda police Department, with the view of bringing those behind this well coordinated corruption racket at the Kanifing Cadi court to justice.

Our colleague at Jollof News Kemo Cham forwarded this piece which was published by the African Diaspora website called Afrobeatradio.com The site’s owner(s) are picking a “beef” with Editor Pa Nderry M’Bai’s recent editorial and other issues-concerning The Gambian online media, whom they classified as dissidents. No mercy for Sacked Ministers- Writes Former Gov’t Adviser
By Saffie Jarjue (former private government adviser)
Dear Gambian editors,
I read with interest all the arguments about the sacked ministers including those of Works and Infrastructure minister, Lamin Bojang; Fisheries and National Assembly minister, Antouman Saho; and Tourism and Culture minister, Ms Nancy Njie. Firstly, it is important to reveal that these are the same coward men and women just like our so-called military officials hiding in the West that helped entrenched Jammeh in power and continued suppressing the masses. Since he was appointed Lamin Bojang had done nothing to improve the infrastructure of the country. Travelling to and fro Banjul is more difficult than ever before talk-less of travelling to the provinces or other towns around the country which I will called a nightmare.

Tragedy At State House-As Jammeh Dismantles His Government
Four Minsters Axed- Four Minister In
President Jammeh Sinks
Staff Reporter Bakary Gibba and Modou Barry, Banjul
As he is gradually losing grip of the country amidst political uncertainty befalling the impoverished West African nation---with reports of coups and counter coups continue to go unabated, Gambia's President Yahya Jammeh Friday officially began dismantling his Government in a bid to restore public confidence, the Freedom Newspaper can authoritatively report. Ruling a nation faced by hunger, destituteness, hopelessness, fear, and growing insecurity amongst its citizenry, Mr. Jammeh is busy trying to make last minute impressions by shifting his political shortcomings to public servants, including the country's marginalized military. At least four state ministers were axed in Jammeh’s latest purging of his discredited cabinet---as the President announced in a statement that wanting public officials must start looking for a job elsewhere outside government, stressing that his administration would continue to exercise zero tolerance for lackadaisical workers. Handing the dismissed ministers with their marching orders late Thursday evening--following weeks of intensive searching for their replacement, Jammeh said his administration would not condone official complacency.
