UDP Welcomes Another Batch Of APRC Defectors
As Over 800 APRC Supporters In Sami Constituency Defected To The UDP
By Staff Reporter Bakary Gibba, Banjul

BANJUL, THE GAMBIA—About eight hundred Ruling APRC supporters in Sami Constituency on Saturday switched their allegiance to  the main opposition United Democratic Party, ahead of the country’s September 2011 Presidential elections.  The massive defection, the first of its kind, took place during a political rally, in which the UDP Propaganda Secretary Momodou Syngle Nyassi was adopted as “FATHER” by the Women of Sami Medina.  It was a historic day, as APRC defectors openly lamented about the maladministration which  had rocked this impoverished West African country.

Breaking News: Gambia: HEALTH DIRECTOR SACKED!!!
Monday, February 28, 2011 (3979 reads)

HEALTH DIRECTOR SACKED!!!

It appears that the new Health Minister Fatim Badjie is siding with Maltida Boye, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health after this paper reported about Madam Boye’s strained relationship with the Health Director Mamady Cham. Ms. Badjie, and the dictator had decided to send Mr. Cham packing. Mamady,  was said to have received his sacking letter before close of business Friday.  Unless, the regime revoked his dismissal, he has been sacked. This goes to show that the administration reads everything reported online here at Freedom. We are dictating the political pace in a country, where there is virtually no functional government. The regime is consists of brainless folks, ignoramus dishonest party so called loyalists, who acquired employment based on tribal line, and praise singing.  You do not  entrust a country to a drug dealer, and arms trafficker. You do not entrust a country to a womanizer. You do not entrust a country to a fake Pan Africanist. You do not entrust a country to a despot who will divert the nation’s ailing coffers overseas, where he will secure properties, and shopping malls. You do not entrust a country to an economic destitute who would be manipulated by so called investors/parasite mafias to mortgage the nation.  You do not entrust a country to a serial murderer.

Halifa Sallah Calls For The Evacuation Of Stranded Gambians In Libya

PDOIS STATEMENT: THE URGENCY TO EVACUATE GAMBIANS IN LIBYA AND THE WAY FORWARD

By Halifa Sallah

BANJUL, THE GAMBIA—We have reliably learnt that Gambians, who are currently resident in Libya, are desperately struggling for ways and means to get out of Libya. According to people we have spoken to directly, Libya has become ungovernable and is no longer a safe place for them to stay. Those who called on 24 February claimed that it was not safe for them to try to find their way to the border because of the rumour which has spread that Africans from South of the Sahara are serving as mercenaries to enable Qhadaffi to slaughter Libyans. This has incited hostility among many ordinary Libyans towards people from Africa South of the Sahara.

Gambia To Organize Regime Change March Next Month—Balangbaa Day!

BALANGBAA  DAY SATURDAY MARCH 26TH. 2011.

 CALLING ALL GAMBIANS TO ACTION

By Mathew K Jallow

BANJUL, THE GAMBIA—My fellow Gambians, for several years now, Yahya Jammeh unilaterally and without any legal authority that derives from any existing local authority and municipal regulations, or our laws and our Constitution, banned citizens from driving on our streets on Saturdays. This despicable dictatorial over-reach is absolutely unjustifiable by law and therefore illegal and unenforceable. Since this unilateral and arbitrary “no-drive” order does not conform to our laws and is only a means of exercising power and control over the population, we as citizens must resolve to disobey it. As citizens we have a right to jump into our vehicles or other modes of transportation to go wherever we want, whenever we want, as long as it is in conformity with our laws. To begin with, the “no-drive” order given by Yahya Jammeh completely ignores our individual liberties and social and business needs.

The Gambia: Yahya Jammeh MUST GO

By Mathew K Jallow

BANJUL, THE GAMBIA—Good morning fellow Gambians wherever you are around the world; at home and abroad. A few days ago I granted an interview to Freedom radio in which I answered a few questions on issues relating to our country. I also dealt with other issues which were of far less significance to our collective interest. Today, I will endeavor to dwell entirely on the dire situation our country has faced for the past sixteen years under Yahya Jammeh’s reign.

FEMI PETERS EXTENDS THANKS TO SUPPORTERS, UDP OFFICIALS, LOVED ONES, AND FRIENDS FOR STANDING BY HIM!

LETTER OF APPRECIATION FROM MR. FEMI PETERS, FORMER CAMPAIGN MANAGER OF THE UNITED DEMOCRATIC PARTY AND THE PRESENT ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY FOR EXTERNAL RELATIONS

BANJUL, THE GAMBIA—Now that I have served the sentence meted out to me on charges that I still cannot comprehend, I look back on events since my discharge on the 10th December 2010. I will avail myself of  the  opportunity to thank the members of the party and my colleagues in the leadership, members of the National Assembly on both sides of the political divide, for their support and sympathy not forgetting other well wishers particularly our party Chairman in Faraba Village Nfamaraba Colley and other party militants who came in their numbers every time my case was being heard. As regards the case, since  it is still sub-judice I will refrain from making any comments.

Breaking News: Gambia: Jammeh Scared of Libya Scenario!
Thursday, February 24, 2011 (4865 reads)

Jammeh Scared of Libya Scenario

“This worry about being overthrown is why Gambian visitors from the UK are now being screened extra carefully at the airport.  He thinks that that UK-UDP's statement asking for an uprising against him mean that Gambians would descend from the UK and overthrow him.  This stupidity shows you the poor state of security and intelligence in The Gambia,” Writes our State House most Trusted Source.

By A State House Insider

BANJUL, THE GAMBIA—Pa, The Kanilai Monster is of late very disturbed by the events unfolding in Libya.  For Jammeh,Khadafi was the prototypical strong man to emulate.  He copied his style of repression mainly from Khadafi after learning some lessons from Baba Jobe who was part of a group of mercenaries supported by the Mad Dog of Tripoli. If you notice, Jammeh's repressive machine is heavily tribal based. If you look at the heads of the security services, you will notice that they are invariably Jola.  Some of these head can barely read or write.  Prime examples include Jesus and his brother who is now a "Lieutenant General" and deputy head of the Army.

BANJUL,THE GAMBIA—Following months of denials of arms trafficking in the region, the Government of The Gambia, has finally confirmed its involvement in the procurement of  arms, and ammunition from the Islamic Republic of Iran—with the country’s Foreign Minister Dr. Momodou Tangara, informing his Senegalese counterpart Madicke Niang that the Jammeh regime had indeed secured arms from Iran in the past.  Minister Tangara, who is on an official mission in Dakar, accompanied by Gambia’s Vice President Isatou Njie Saidy, said all the arms that were secured  from Tehran  by the Government of The Gambia, were meant for the country’s internal security. The Minister’s revelations, ended months of controversy surrounding the 13 containers  of arms shipment from Iran,  intercepted in Nigeria. The arms were destined for the President Jammeh’s Kanilai Farms, who is linked to arming MFDC rebel fighters in the Southern Province of Casamance.  A charge,  Mr. Jammeh categorically denied.

Banjul, THE GAMBIA—President Muammar El-Qaddafi’s longest political ally, Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh, of all people on Wednesday, in an unprecedented diplomatic twist calls for the immediate resignation of his Libyan dictator brother, while condemning the senseless killings of Libyans. Political instability has rocked the Islamic nation, with Libyans calling for the removal of Qaddafi's regime.   Speaking on behalf of The Gambian leader, during  in a nationwide televised speech, the Head of Gambia’s Civil Service Dr. Njogu Bah said Mr. Qaddafi  has lost the will of the people, and should resign in the interest of peace, stability, and tranquility in Libya. Mr. Bah says power belongs to the people, and the mass revolt in Libya clearly manifests that Libyans want to see an end to Qaddafi’s rule.

BANJUL, THE GAMBIA—Senegal has once again severed diplomatic ties with Iran saying that Tehran has been supplying modern arms to MFDC rebel fighters in Casamance, in the Southern province of Senegal.  In a newscast aired on Tuesday Mid-night on state television, the Wade Government blamed Iran for the recent demise of three of its soldiers who were ambushed, and killed by the MFDC fighters. "Senegal is outraged to note that Iranian weapons brought about the death of Senegalese soldiers. Consequently, Senegal has decided to severe its diplomatic ties with the republic of Iran, starting this day," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued to the media.
