Editorial: Blood Bath In Kombo Central!!! Why Jammeh Should Disband The NIA, Sack SOS Sonko?

Another blood bath occurred in this country Sunday. A land dispute in Kombo Central, have left dozen others critically injured. The protesters did not stop at inflicting wounds on their opponents, but they went as far as burning the house of Alkalo Lamin Jarju. Three cars were also set ablaze. These are dangerous signs for a country, whose fragile peace is at stake at this material time. We are sitting on a time bomb. The writings are on wall for social unrest in The Gambia. People are now resorting to using arms to vent their anger and frustration against the system. The people, who attacked Alkalo Jarju’s home village, were armed with cutlasses, knives and local guns. Our much cherished peace is about to be upset, if the authorities concerned, failed to end injustices in the country. Injustice anywhere, can lead to social tensions, to borrow the expression of the late Martin Luta King.

The Life Of Kenbugut Kisse: A Short Story Worth Reading- Part three!!!

Kenbugut Kesse’s  life has been miserable. Kisse’s  second profession was  begging, stealing, lying and womanizing. Kesse has always been a broker. A poor dude, who survives on false pretense. Each time, he walked into the store with friends, loved ones and acquaintances, Kisse would want others to foot for his bills. “ Boy, you don’t have a five box with you? Can you lend me 20 box to take care of  my bills? I really need your help.” Said Kisse. Kisse is reputed to be issuing bad checks to the people, he does business with. Many a time, he would advise the recipients of his bogus checks not to cash their checks until such a time that the checks matures. These chicks are post dated. He calls them post dated checks. “ Do not cash that check until April 10Th. If you  do so, you are doing it at your own peril. I will not be held liable for it, because there are no funds in my account right now. Just give me two weeks, when my employer would remit my bi-weekly check into my account. Do you hear me Jarga? Hold the check, until the 10Th of April.” Kisse said with big emphasis.

French Police strip a female mauritanian humanrights lawyer Fatim Mbaye completely naked at Paris airport!

The Paris airport has always been known for subjecting African immigrants to the most inhumane treatment one can ever imagine. This latest reaction from the very immigration at the Paris airport against a Mauritanian Human rights lawyer has gone way beyond the limit. Mbaye was on her way to the French capital when she was subjected to extreme searches by the airport police simply because they were on a routine exercise meant to identify and expel immigrants they suspect of wanting to escape into the city or country. What angered lawyer Fatim Mbaye is the way she was subjected to such a degrading and disrespectful search just because she was traveling to France. Later on she had access to the airwaves of Radio France International where she denounced the notorious French immigration police for handling her like a common criminal when In actual fact she is a professional who came to their country to serve a noble cause which Is defending human rights. RADDHO-an NGO based in Dakar Senegal West Africa which defends human rights never hesitated to pounce back!
