Banjul:8/01/08-Defence counsel Lamin S.Camara on Wednesday 31st July, addressed the court in the trial of Manlafi Sanyang upon the closure of the case at Banjul magistrate court before senior Magistrate Kayode H.Olajubutu.Defence counsel Camara said he adapted the address he made during the no case submission. He said it is the duty of the prosecutor to show to the court that the charges against the accused has been proven beyond all reasonable doubts.

Banjul: 7/31/08-As economic and political uncertainties hit Gambians, a nominated member of the National Assembly Oley Sey presented a bad check to the Bwiam Lodge, which attracted an angry reaction from the officials of the lodge. The disgraced MP, has been engulfed in a financial impropriety, as there are no funds in her Trust Bank account. Bwiam Lodge officials have confronted the MP over such a gross misconduct. The officer mentioned few in the media including Pap Saine but later on few individuals were stricken off from the list. The excuse was that they were not loyal to the President. Sadly, Pap Saine and Conateh were included in the final list proving the end of press freedom in our mother land.
