Editorial: Why Is Jammeh Not Testifying In The GPU Six Case??
Revelations coming from the defamation trial involving the six Gambian journalists are encouraging so to speak. The witnesses are speaking out, which is very healthy in any true democratic dispensation. They all defended their respective roles as Editors, and journalists by ensuring the proper dissemination of The Gambia Press Union Press release. Contrary to Jammeh’s belief that this case would scare critics, including journalists, we are pleased to report that none of the accused persons appeared intimidated. They are siren, composed, and focused. What we have learned from the GPU six trial is that fear tactics never last. Jammeh can keep his scare tactics in his pockets. Gambians are no longer scared of him. People shall continue to express their rights to free expression, no matter what.

Has Ex Finance Minister Famara Jatta Transferred $50 Million Dollars Into Jammeh’s Bank Account???
Dear Editor,
Can you please investigate the allegation that former Gambian Finance Minister Fimara Jatta transferred 50 million dollars into President Jammeh's bank account during his tenure as a Government Finance Minister.
A close friend of Jatta, who knew about the transaction is angered by this and in private have asked for an investigation. This may be difficult as Jammeh is still in power, but some kind of revelation will help a great deal. I also feel that it is wrong considering the poverty in Gambia and its people. An investigation will surely help-that is why I searched for Gambian media contacts to help in this matter.
Sincerely,
A friend of the Gambia

Gambian Media Accused Of Misinformation, And Biased Reporting!!!
By Sheriff Ceesay
This info was forwarded to me by someone who has been very helpful in fighting the dictatorship in Gambia. He is calling for the prosecution of dictator Jammeh in violating press freedom. This guy work hard in partnership with people in both here in the USA and Europe. He is now in doubt how on earth could the Gambian Press in future hold Jammeh to account for the rights violation when there are some deliberate misinformation about events etc. Jammeh will surely have a defence! So watch out.
