GET REAL PHD CANDIDATE SONKO

“Sonko the alcoholic and drug abuser,” Sam Sarr Alleges

By Sam Sarr Newark,  New Jersey

Once again Sonko you will always continue to amaze your readers! So the whole idea of my qualification to join the army by claiming to have a degree that I never had is out of your radar. It’s now all about my deployments to Liberia and Bissau all over again.  What is intriguing about this piece is your question about what I have been smoking. Are you really serious Sonko? One of your cardinal attributes at Yundum Barracks had always been a substance abuser. That is why you couldn’t even maintain a steady family. Do you know how many times you had been reported in the GNA for constantly smoking marijuana with soldiers?  Everybody knew Sonko the alcoholic and drug abuser. I hope you have been to a rehab and changed.

Call to end the conflict: Responding to Momodou K. Sonko should go like this; Sam Sarr Making Amends

By A Concerned Gambian Pa Darboe, Raleigh, NC

Dear Mr. Sonko,

For some reason that I cannot explain, I am taking a few moments alone to reflect upon those special time you and I have spent together. Even though it was not always laughter and good times, I want to thank you for treasured memories.

Life is short and perhaps I feel guilty for having let this situation continue, and a bit angry that you have done the same. It proves one thing, at least. we are both stubborn.  With that in mind, it is doubtful we will ever agree on our opposing viewpoint.

We have been friends and colleagues in the GNA for many years, long before this situation occurred. We did not begin with it, and I don't believe we must end with it.

Therefore, I am here by extending to you Mr. Sonko a hand of peace. You are  very special to me.

Friends, again.

RESPONSE TO SAM SARR'S REQUEST TO RE-EXAMINE MY FACTS

By Momodou K. Sonko, PhD Candidate in Information Technology(IT). Masters in Business Administration (MBA). Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BIT)..

Sarr it is about time for you to be realistic to yourself for the sake of your kids at least for they will be growing up one day and read all these negative attributes of yours and will not sit well with them. Whether you went to Liberia as an individual or a group makes no difference to the fact in question, which is your failure to go to Liberia for deployment. You must be out of your mind equating that trip to being deployed. What is the matter with you? If I may go further with this, please stop playing with our intelligence once more by thinking that we do not know what chain of command is all about. You are making us to believe that you were personally called by President Jammeh in his office to be assigned the task of going to Liberia to recover the corpse of our beloved soldiers. You very well know that it did not happened that way. President Jammeh has a Chief of Defense Staff who will be tasked to make the case in question to happen. The Chief of Defense Staff will in turn instruct the Army Commander to go on with the plan and the latter then informed you to be prepare and get ready for the trip if at all you did not go and lobby at the Army Commander's office for the trip. Regardless of how it happened doesn't matter to me at all for all I am concerned about is how you could equate that trip to a deployment. Please grow up Sam Sarr and stop playing stupid. The truth of the matter is that you are a coward and a PATHOLOGICAL liar.

Town Crier Calls A Cease Fire between Sarr and Sonko

By Town Crier

Dear Editor,

Allow me space to mediate between two gentlemen who have served our country full kindheartedly and selflessly. For the past week or so we have witness tirades from one brother to another and vice versa. It is about time someone call a cease fire between these two fine gentlemen who have served their country in one way or the other. Reading through both your tirades, I am at a loss and I believe most are as to what the aim or objective is as regards the ongoing polemics.

MOMODOU SONKO PHD CANDIDATE RE-EXAMINE YOUR FACTS

By Sam Sarr, Newark, New Jersey

Well Mr. PHD Candidate, after reading your last piece it now dawns on me that I am dealing with a very unstable person. For that reason I am definitely going to keep it short in an attempt to dismiss everything about this unhealthy debate once and for all. Accusing me of being a pathological liar is tantamount to the pot calling the kettle black. When you first rattled about my refusal to go to Liberia because of cowardice but not knowing that while you were here in the USA I had actually been there to recover the remains of the only fallen soldiers, you thought you had a credible arsenal against me. Now that you know for sure that the coward was there for a special mission, you still continue to spin the same garbage by trivializing it into a different agenda. And please get this in your PHD-Candidate head, it was not a team but me alone who took that assignment to recover the bodies.  As for my involvement in the Guinea Bissau civil war where the conflict was bloodier than you can imagine, your new rap is that I was forced to go. You also still think that by branding me a tribalist bent on fanning tribal war in the Gambia, people will take you seriously. You must be out of your mind.

RESPONSE TO SAM SARR'S DIRECT RE-ENGAGEMENT FOR A CIVIL DIALOGUE

As Sonko Questions Sam Sarr’s Agricultural Degree!

By Momodou K. Sonko, PhD Candidate in Information Technology(IT). Masters in Business Administration (MBA).Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BIT)..

I definitely do not know where to start for you have been all over the globe trying very hard to show what a fine officer you were to the extent of paralleling yourself with a fine officer you and I both know as Lt. Momodou Camara. You also went to the extent of explaining how President Jammeh called you in his office and asked you to lead a group to go exhume our late soldiers in Liberia and you paralleled that as a deployment to Liberia. You also went on to say that you went to Guinea Bissau for peace keeping while at the same time refused to go to Liberia on the pretext of being disabled. I wonder what changed under the circumstances. Did Baboucarr Jatta, the then Chief Of Staff gave you an ultimatum to either go for the deployment or face the consequences? You do not have to answer that because I very well know the answer. Being deployed to Guinea Bissau then I can confidently say to the world that I was right to attest that you were not disabled as I kept saying. Let say just hypothetically that you had other reasons for not wanting to deploy to Liberia, which were small pay scale and the ill-preparedness of GNA soldiers. If that is your stand now, then Sarr you are guilty of lying to the Gambia people that you were disabled when actually you were not. In that case lying is a habit of yours and does not care of any future consequences.

All Heat and no Substance—Lawyer Lamin Darboe Weigh In

By Lamin J Darbo

In reaction to Ousainou Darboe’s recent press conference with Diaspora-based media houses, former AFPRC spokesman Captain Ebou Jallow (Ebou Jallow) declared his willingness “to give full and faithful testimony against the thugs, Edward Singhateh and his gang that murdered Ousman Koro Ceesay in any court of law anywhere in the world except in The Gambia for very obvious reasons.” I accept that Ebou Jallow’s “very obvious reasons” are perfectly understandable. What I do not understand is how he failed to appreciate that the leader of the United Democratic Party (UDP) may take legitimate refuge in the exception Ebou Jallow carved out for himself.

A DIRECT RE-ENGAGEMENT OF PHD CANDIDATE CAPTAIN SONKO FOR A CIVIL DIALOGUE

By Sam Sarr , Newark, NJ

My Dear Captain Sonko (AKA-PHD Candidate, or prospective Doctor), After roughly over a week of respite following your incendiary article against me published in the Freedom online newspaper and my subsequent rueful response for common understanding and reciprocal respect, I believe your emotions as underscored in your final rejoinder are now tranquil enough for a more tenable dialogue. I had to respond in the way I did for three obvious reasons: First and foremost to sincerely convey my condolence to you for the death of your brother, a good person whom I had shared a relationship in the past that epitomized the cherished human quality of cordiality and mutual reverence. It has evidently been the same admiration I had always had for you since I first met you in Berending Village years ago. Secondly however, I also had intended upon being assured your willingness to refrain from that antagonistic demeanor, reengage you in a healthier round of discussion; because after all I believe we need some enlightenment over some of the salient points you had raised about me and the Gambia National Army (GNA). And thirdly, without doubt I definitely needed time to thoroughly think over what might have possibly motivated your unexpected rage. Unfortunately I still can’t wrap my mind around this baffling motive but will try to toy around with some probabilities as I develop this discourse.
