Modou  Sanyang, the Angel of Death Exposed

By  Weral Jamfaakat

Guest columnist from GRTS

Some time  ago I read a very good interview in the widely read Freedom Newspaper about how Amadou Samba misused his influence on Jammeh to harass Dida Halake. And take it from me the article received a deep thinking from state house. This, coupled with the frequent court cases involving people allegedly giving false information to destroy others, have led me to join your noble course to expose with honesty and good faith, people who have used their closeness to the powers that be, to destroy other people One of the most dangerous such personalities today is Momodou Sanyang, the Director General of GRTS, who, I would appropriately call here, ‘the Angel of Death’.

Chief Of Staff Yankuba Drameh Demoted To Private, And Then Fired!!!

… IGP Essa Badjie Arrested????

By Boy Badjie, Banjul

Army chief of staff General Yankuba Drammeh has been demoted to the rank of private before he was finally fired from the force, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. General Drammeh, who was arrested shortly after his sacking from the army is currently being investigated by the state on allegations of coup plot. The president ordered for his immediate arrest, and sacking from the army.  There is confusion in the military, as no one here is assured of job security, or their personal safety. One is lucky if he or she returns home after work. Mr. Drammeh, has been replaced by General Badjie, who is currently overseeing the affairs of the armed forces.  General Badjie is the half brother of the Inspector General of police Esssa Badjie.

No reason was advanced for the Presidential directive-amidst speculations that heads are bound to roll in the Foreign office.

The beginning of the end

By Kemo Cham

We are slowly but sorely arriving at the meaning of the recent onslaught that saw the Gambia’s security hierarchy severely bashed, with the ignominious removal of the man everyone would agree was hitherto Yahya Jammeh’s most trusted ally, General Lang Tombong Tamba. At the time of his removal, a number of theories emerged, subsequently overshadowed by the one perpetuated by Yahya Jammeh himself through GRTS, with the help, of course, of his rather subservient dummy, Momodou Sanyang. And it worked, you know. Even if it was for just a short period, as present revelations suggest.

Commonwealth SG says Gambia is under investigation

By Kemo Cham

The secretary General of the Commonwealth has reassured human rights groups and individuals concerned about the deteriorating human rights situation in Gambia that the country is under investigation for death threats made by its leader, Yahya Jammeh. Kamalesh Sharma made this revelation at a news conference, Thursday, on the eve of the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting in Trinidad and Tobago. Yahya Jammeh has been under pressure to withdraw what seemed to be his most widely condemned statement, made last September, in which he threatened to kill people who identifies with human rights defenders ‘‘to destabilize my country.’’ Jammeh remains characteristically defiant against the overwhelming outpour of international outcry that continues to put Gambia constantly on the spotlight for the wrong reason.

Security Analysis: Who Runs The NIA? Numo Kujabi, or The “Security Expert” Overseas??

Sources At The Gambian Mission IN Washington DC Say Numo Kujabi Relied On A Gambian Security Expert To Run The NIA

This is a forum,  in which the NIA DG Numo Kujabi reports to the President Yahya Jammeh about security contingency plans put in place for the day, and happenings in the country.  It is an important security dosage, which contains national security matters.  One must be part of the top echelon of the country’s intelligence community to be privy to such classified state secrets.  The NIA DG is expected to do his homework right before presenting the report to the President, otherwise he might risked jeopardizing his credibility as a spy chief. That said, we have an important information to share with you today. As Gambians Celebrate Tabaski, Darboe Pays Tribute To Missing Journalist Manneh And CCF Worker Kanyiba Kanyi

My Gambian Compatriots,

As we celebrate the Moslem feast of Eid El Adha, I would like once again as Secretary General and Party Leader of the United Democratic Party, to extend to all of you as well as those living among us, my warmest greetings on this auspicious occasion. This feast is in celebration of an event that took place many centuries ago. It is the remembrance of a deed of sacrifice and total acceptance of the will of Allah by Abraham who believed that there is one God and in absolute abnegation, he did Allah’s will. We commemorate it therefore in emulation of this great deed of Abraham.

Dr. Njomborr Says...

Where there is injustices, there is bound to be corruption and rights violations. If those entrusted with enforcing the law are seen to be corrupt, then there is cause for concern.  Pa Harry Jammeh and Ben Jammeh should be investigated in the interest of justice, and fair play.  You don’t use your office to favor loved ones. That’s absolutely wrong.
