Horomsi:The APRC Bad Tongues ON OJ-OJ Allegedly Bribed To Leave The Gambia? Horomsi:President Jammeh buying OJ? Hell No... OJ'S Departure Raises EyeBrows in the country! Can OJ Clarify Please!
President
Jammeh buying Omar Amadou Jallow (OJ)? President Jammeh threatening OJ?
President Jammeh reaching a deal with OJ and Ganji Touray? No, No, No,
no! That's not possible. There are many talks in town these days
regarding OJ's sudden departure from the country. People are making all
kinds of stories. Some alleged that OJ was induced by the state to
leave the country, which we termed as utter non sense. Knowing OJ, he
will never resorts to such unethical behavior. OJ must be very foolish
to act so low by compromising his political career over night because of
money. It is fact that his boy boy Ganji Touray was induced to join the
APRC, but in the case of OJ, there is no physical evidence to
substantiate such wild claims and counter claims. The news of OJ'S
defection to the APRC was first bandit by Omar Fye and his group. A
week later Ganji cross carpetted and OJ was declared sick. OJ was not
seen at the nomination of his colleague Halifa Sallah. Days later, he
left the country for UK. Before his departure, he told the Foroyaa
Newspaper that he was behind NADD and Gambians should vote for NADD.
 But
talks on the grapevine suggested that the politician might have been
either threatened or induced by the Ruling APRC as in the case of his
errand boy Ganji Touray. Some of his critics said they doubted OJ's
sick story. Well, these people doubting OJ's sick story must be very
wicket indeed. How can OJ of all OJ falsified his departure from
Banjul. These are disturbing reports to say the least. The APRC is even
bragging that OJ will not return to Banjul until after the elections.
That the politician has been talking to their party leader off late. Is
this really so? Can OJ come in here and clarify despite his ailing
health conditions? Many people in Banjul believed that he has been
bought by Yahya Jammeh. That Ganji would not have joined the APRC
without his approval. That he OJ never commented about Ganji's attempt
to join the APRC. Unless, OJ clears the air, speculations will continue
to rife.
There is this talk that some NADD executive members
were disappointed about OJ'S sudden departure. Horomsi doubted the said
claim. NADD will stay with or without OJ anyway. The APRC should stop
making up stories against NADD. If it turns out that OJ fails to witness the polling then, we should be careful about these APRC witches.
They are very happy about OJ's absence in the country.
Has OJ been threatened??
The
other day I was told that NADD'S Pa Manneh too was in Dakar. The NADD
insider never explained to me why Pa was in Dakar. This was prior to
the nomination. Pa Manneh is OJ'S close body. They do things together.
Another person told me that OJ might have left the country in fear for
his life. That he might have received an intelligence report about his
possible assassination by the government. I was sadden when I heard
about the said reports. I sat for a while trying to figure out if the said
reports makes any sense. I concluded that this must have been a
propaganda campaign spearheaded by the APRC. If OJ can stay in the
country during its darkest days how can he leave at this time around? Come
on Mr.? The people peddling these hate reports hated OJ.
Horomsi has been talking to the APRC camp these days. They told me that OJ will return hom after the elections. These APRC officials will not tell me why OJ should stay in the UK until after the elections. They kept on telling me that HE's Marabouts were working very hard to get some opposition big guns into their party. I told them that OJ will be the last person to join the APRC. OJ is not a sell out. He could have joined the APRC way back in 1994, when Jammeh and his boys approached him. But he refused. We wish OJ speedy recovery. But he should bear in mind that the APRC is spreading rumours in town that he betrayed Halifa and Co at this hour of our nation's fragile democracy by settling in the UK whiles his colleagues are out there to fight the dictator. The APRC allegations are very serious and deserves a clarification on the side of OJ. If OJ happens to let these lies go unchallenged, then he is giving credence to the bribery story. OJ needs to clear himself before it is too late. His credibility is at stake.
