Editor, even though my mail may arrive late at your table, do me a favor and publish my opinion before elections in Gambia.
I have
been following discussions, news, contribution, poems and claims and
counter claims in your papers. It makes good reading and a day hardly
passes by without me looking at your paper. Sometimes I find it hard to
believe that Gambians will say what they say and do what they do. I do
not at this time wish to go into any details as this may draw me into
unnecessary polemics for which I do not have the time right now.
I have
observed and observed Gambian politics and politicians and I have a
prediction to make about Hamat Bah. Hamat Bah is a strategist and an
opportunist but some eyes can see far more than his does. Hamat
withdrew from NADD not based on any flaw in principle but based on his
own calculation and selflishness. Here is my story. Read on!
UDP/NRP
under the umbrella of Lawyer Darboe you will all agree with me
that will loose this year's elections next week. Reason? (The
Kanilai Witchcraft Doctor in Kumpo leaves has already laid his corrupt
winning plan(s) ). He has mastered the dirty art of some African
politics.. politics of deception. If this happens, Lawyer Darboe may
not be able to stand in a fourth bid due to two reasons, age and
sanity. If age does not take its toll on him, sanity should tell him
that it's about time to take the back stage. If a people have rejected
you three times, what makes you still think that you will make it in a
fourth bid? We have seen some people win after several attempts but
not the likes of Darboe. Only a power hungry person will still stand
over, and over and over. There are exceptions and mine is President
Wade of Senegal.
Hamat
Bah being the chicken head he is calculated that if I form a coalition
with Darboe and he wins, I will automatically be the VP. Or if Darboe
might call it quits after 2006 is hanging in there so as to ursurp the
UDP leadership and try his luck at the high seat. Make no mistake this
will come true or we will see Hamat walking out of the NRP/UDP
coalition. If UDP decides that Hamat is not their presidential
candidate when Darboe steps down, we will see him board another boat
looking for another opportunity. He may approach Henry Gomez for a
coalition. And lets not be surprise that if all this fails he end up
joining APRC. Think what you think and say what you say, this is mine.
