RE: GAINAKO NEWSPAPER IS HERE-DALTON IS THE OWNER
Pa Nderry, please allow me space to clear the air on your headline above. Gainako doesn’t belong to an individual, rather all positive minded people of this world. Our coming to being is as a result of the growing demand for news coverage, and my promise to all, once we are out, then ours is to focus on unifying people, especially Gambians.
Though, I will be fully participating in activities, you will get to realize that Gainako, a Fula word that means “shepherd” is here to watch over happenings, and once the big GON men sprout out, you will know Dalton is at the bottom of the ladder.
By attributing ownership of this dream-to-be paper to me, you make the snail going back to its shell. Though, I have always hailed you for not sitting on news, but your headline was ugly, and I know you will laugh at this one.
Ours is to collaborate with all patriotic individuals, more so the GPU, in keeping journalistic ethics and enhancing a free world. We will not be out to hunt certain individuals, but to defend freedom and justice.
Our venture is to joint the struggle that all other papers are doing, which I am a consortium of. We are not harmful, but will be aggressive against oppressions and enemies of freedom.
Until we are out with a press release, please reserve your pen and paper, and concentrate on your projects of Hassan Musa and MC Cham. An unborn baby deserve to be nourished and protected.
Sincerely,
Yero
Editor's note: The said headline was just a teaser to attract our readers. We do know that Gainako belongs to the people. Any serious media company should avoid this culture of one man show or risked failing. We appreciate the fact that Yero is not following such a trend. Thanks brother for speaking out. This is what we need now and not one man show where an individual decides for everything that goes into a paper. Gainako, will no doubt survived the test of time. Have a great day.
