At least we can borrow this statement from the Kenyan police! It was not appropriate where they used it,it is more appropriate when used against those dictators who are dawdling along the corridors of power in Africa today.We have one like that in Banjul.

Yahya has rattled the snake called DETERMINATION inside the body and mind of the opposing forces that surround him today.This is why Kocc Barma said:"Jahha akk mugne du benna"-meaning there is a big difference between patience and frustration.Yahya is frustrated he is not the least reconciliatory.Not at all! When Yahya extends an olive branch it is as if he is saying to people.."take it before I change!" Yahya sees himself as the macho character who controls the destiny of people with his "Mansayaa" tendencies or whims and caprices.
This childish threats or blackmailing tactics cannot shake intellectuals like Ousainou Darboe,Halifa Sallah,Waa Juwara,Kemeseng Jammeh,Sedia Jatta,OJ and so on.Various lessons have so far been learnt from the opposition after they started the campaign.This is why Yahya never wanted to sign the MOU which was prepared in conjunction with the commonwealth envoy General Abdu Salami.
1st Lesson:
General Obasanjo has taught Yahya what a patriot really means.The General came to Banjul only to strengthen what his colleague from Nigeria started.He has raised the credentials of Salami through Yahya Jammeh's own short sightedness.If Yahya had respected his countrymen well before Wade and Obasanjo intervened we would have crossed these hurdles a long time ago.
However,Yahya for some reason saw the opposition as his enemies or his subjects! When Obasanjo came he only strengthened what a fellow Nigerian started within our midst.It was not new for us Gambians to settle down in peace.Obasanjo knows how difficult it has been for him to get the same truce in Ivory Coast.Even whereas Lauren Gbagbo wanted to concede in certain areas,his countrymen never responded positively.So Yahya has to stop this nonsense on his on line papers or on the daily observer.He cannot be praised as a peace maker.Yahya himself knows peace and love are so strange in his book!Well before Yahya was seen as the head of state some of us saw him elsewhere.
If one is searching for an ant calling itself a giant when you meet Yahya the person can stop.Yahya suffers from what the French call..."Illusion de grandeur"-meaning dreaming of being so big when one isn't even close.Anyone who revisits Yahya's chain of nicknames will see through the very character of a man who thinks he is too miuch of a strong person before everyone on earth.That is indeed some deficiency within his mind.One example is where Yahya called himself "Jumukorey" in Jola during his childhood days.This means a fierce lion.Until July 22nd Yahya prefered that name.
We can still remember the echoes coming from the voice of late Jerreh Bojang Yahya's uncle and prefered driver when it comes to sending people on occult missions.That is why when I see some 'cotton-heads' saying Halifa has an ego in him it makes me want to spew. Ego in someone else where Yahya Jammeh is called to lead? Wonders never sieze.This is an insult to The Gambia as a nation,especially where Yahya is being compared to Ousainou Darboe,Halifa Sallah,Sedia Jatta,OJ,Hamat Bah,Kemeseng as far as intellectualism is concerned.But you know what?
When grown men deliberately decide to call the planet mars a pebble what can scientists do about that? The only essence out of a debate like that is to show the difference between sane and insane people. At least it helps to a certain degree.It helps us to be able to see the crazy and "tey-teylukats"-a wolof word meaning those who do things deliberately.
2nd Lesson:
Echoes coming from the rallies held this week by the opposition in various parts of the country have been so loud and clear.Sedia Jatta said NADD is here to save Gambians whether they like it or not! Okay??? this is not funny,it is true.Ask yourselves this question...?"Will the fire service or rescue missions ever ask anyone drowning whether he,she or them want to be rescued from danger? Certainly not! As a linguist Sedia knows what connotations his message is carrying towards the ears of those who were listening to him.Secondly will doctors ever ask patients if they want to be operated after using anaesthesia on their limbs? Certainly not.
The anaesthesia in The Gambia today are the facts the opposition has been able to authenticate against Yahya Jammeh.So why would they wait to be told that Gambia is a patient who needs to be cured forthwith? Why?
Ousainou Darboe has also said it clearly ie civil servants should stay out of playing part in politics in an open manner because their salaries come from the tax payers! Opposition members and leaders do ;pay tax too! Yahya does pay tax! He cheats the tax payers by using their money to buy arms in hiding.We are also encouraged by what Ousainou,MC Cham and Unlce Assan Musa Camara said these past days.Sure Ousainou has scored marks by saying that he is ready to merge with any opposition party for the sake of ejecting Jammeh out of the state house.Bravo Darboe! We like hearing that tune Sir!
Halifa as usual spent time dissecting the debt burden,well this is what we call issues! Issues! Oh yeah.The debt burden is the anaesthesia I was talking about earlier on. How about Mbarodi? Well the man sends appropriate vibes to Yahya and his camp.He does not hesitate to disgree and then agree once the truth has been visited.
We cannot sideline Koto OJ and Kemeseng Jammeh too.OJ is the axis of peace here.He has been steadfast and mature.Actually when ever some of us think about OJ in this milieu we heave sighs of relief because the man can help usher the local folks towards a common ground.Kemeseng's flag post in Jarra is a motivating factor in this era of endless noise from Yahya and his croaking toads!
3rd Lesson:
This lesson is the bitter one for Yahya Jammeh! The APRC is in total disarray! Cheap propaganda was sent into the airwaves saying that former PPP gurus defected to the APRC? Wooow! I am sure Yahya was stunned when he read what MC Cham,Assan Musa and co said.
MC Cham is the Chamen "Bala mansa" Chei Waaaye! this man has been known as a lion within its own den even during the Jawara days.I was not surprised to read what MC had to say in Brufut anyway.Yahya remember that these are people who care less about being called rulers.All these people are descendants of great men and women Yahya.Power is not new to them.
