Leaks from the state house say the Gambian leader is planning to frame Edward Singhateh in a bid to welcome back the jailed Jarra MP Baba K Jobe to the APRC camp. If the state house leaks are to go by the President is out for an all out war with the Singhatehs. He wants to blame them for the death of Gambia's Finance Minister Ousman Koro Ceesay, who was found burnt beyond recognition some years ago in his government allocated car. The President's recent remark that Ministers who committed murder should confess to him signals that the President was sending an early warning to his longtime colleagues. Insiders at the state house say the Gambian President believe that the best way to woe Baba Jobe to the APRC was to disown Edward and his brother Colonel Peter Singhateh. Sources claimed to have heard the President saying that Edward will never be promoted and shall remain at the Forestry Department for rest of his tenure as a state minister.
According to sources the President had in mind to welcome Baba Jobe back to the APRC. Baba Jobe was jailed for tax evasion by Justice Paul. Jobe's jailing was said to have been engineered by Edward Singhateh who was the Trade Minister at the material time. Jobe and Edu had a strained relationship over the years. Edu never approved Jobe's power arrogance.
President Jammeh believes in divide and rule politics. After using Edu to execute his so called "Operation No Compromise" he has secretly hatched a plot against Edu. The same Jammeh plotted against Baba Jobe and those currently languishing in jail. Jammeh is a serial killer who is determined to take the lives of those who helped to make him what he is today. Edu was the brain behind the July 22ND coup. Jammeh is today acting as the pioneer of that unconstitutional act. Jammeh's plan is to arrest the Singhatehs and take them to the Mile Two prison. That day is coming.
If I were to investigate Koro's death, I will start with Jammeh. Jammeh would be my prime suspect and other council members. We know those who were at the airport on the eve of Koro's demise. Koro exchanged greetings with civilian and military council members including Jammeh at the airport. Susan Waffa Ogoo's car drove next to Koro after seeing off Jammeh. The plot was well coordinated. Unsuspecting Koro never anticipated the attack. When the new Gambia is born, the likes of Susan and others will help us with our investigations. Sussan cannot deny that her vehicle was close to Koro when they left the airport on that fateful day. Susan has her own story to tell Gambians. Our women folks should refrained from covering the dictatorship. It's time to spill the beans.
Koro drove towards the Jambour road while Sussan and others used the Yundum road heading to Serre-Kunda. Sussan can volunteer some leads when approached one day. Jammeh should not be panicking about the said revelations. If his NIA'S are truly committed to pursuing Koro's death there are enough leads to follow. Edward's name featured prominently but there is more to the story. Jammeh is the brain behind the whole murder of Koro Ceesay. Koro's death was premeditated and well calculated. He was being blocked to expose the true state of our ailing economy at the material time to donor partners such as the IMF and the World Bank. The junta messed up with our foreign reserves which created cash shortages.
Gambians are not real to themselves. They watched Yahya killing our people in the name of self perpetual rule. Murder is no longer considered as a capital offence in our country. Daba Marena and co were murdered in cold blood by Jammeh's thugs. The same Yahya Jammeh want to make us believe that he is not evil. If Jammeh can ask Edward and others to confess about their past atrocities what about him the serial killer? Jammeh is behind most of the secret killings taking place in the Gambia. His own boys killed journalist Deyda Hydara.
