PANORAMA with 'Bulfaaleh'..Gambian Lecturer Sidibeh derails...
Quoting Sidibe...from the Jammeh Propaganda machine.

Hello Dr Sidibe! Our intension is not the least to politicize what you said. Not at all Doctor. We honour you for having gone back home ready to serve our folks. That is great brother! But after reading where you said the following I was pushed to the edge therefore could not simply ignore where you derailed.Doctor please avoid thinking that because you are a doctor you can always say what you want and go scot free.

That culture is not in my book. Sometimes circumstances and coincidences can qualify a person for guilt by association. What are the circumstances here? The daily observer quickly associates itself with anyone who happens to say something that President may like.

This very paper also stands to use the 'disguised' tactics of Dr Saja Taal when attacking other intellectuals, politicians, educators or journalists back home. If we see your being patronised by the daily observer  means you are under the umbrella of favourable circumstances therefore we assume or even believe that you are a close buddy of Saja?

We stand to be corrected but you also can stand to be counted by dissociating yourself from this 'ice-cream' paper being run by the two famous Doctors.Dr Jammeh and Dr Taal. This is where circumstantial evidence comes into play.Alright if we think about guilt by association then we can continue to decipher what you said...Here it is ripe or raw..

".....Speaking at a forum organised by the Gambia Economic and Social Development Research Institute (GESDRI), on the launch of its new Research Institute, the university don, urged students to do away with what he described as the “Jamaican English” (Patua) they speak in schools and other lazy attitudes, and urged them to strive for academic excellence...."

So? Doctor Sidibe? How about an intellectual of your calibre using a whole country and a whole society like Jamaica in this demeaning way?
Is that right? If we go by history Doctor Sidibe "Pattois" does not come from Jamaica. Pattois comes from the old slave plantations or from former Islands that were ruled by colonialists. Pattois has its good side Doctor. In the first place lets ask ourselves this..Why pattois?

Pattois had to be born by any means necessary because the slave masters did not care about educating the former slaves whereas they had to communicate with them for obvious reasons.Doctor those slaves came from the wild waves of a wild sea.

They were faced with a rude shock from a brutal culture that looked so low upon them as being nothing other than working bucks! They had no right to learn. This is why they used pattois or pidgin Engish to communicate with others and to communicate with their masters.Should we measure someone's success or retrogress by refering to how our own brothers in Jamaica speak English?

We know that Bob Marley,Bunny Wailer,Tosh and others speak or spoke very good English. Isn't Muta Baruka a great poet? Does that stop them from using the pattois that our learned Doctor Sidide is trying to expunge from the university corridors? Doctor associated pattois to laziness! Thats not true doctor. No doctor, these Jamaicans control the whole of Queens in Mew York.Did you know that?

I think the reading culture in Gambia has eroded because of the erratic nature at the department of state for education and the non chalant behavior of the Gambian leaders. How about telling Dr Jammeh himself to stop using that pattois? He does Doctor Sidibe.Jammeh speaks new pattois...he speaks pattois that he himself created.

Doctor Sidibe pattois is exotic, cool and rich. This is the real reason behind the culture of carnivals and the Mardi Gras in New Orleans Doctor Sidibe. So please when you bunch of intellectuals (supposed ones) are trying to impress the status quo in a very slimy way avoid using or insulting other cultures. The huge mirror is near you.

It is the decadence in Banjul. Doctor Sidibe I speak pattois with these students but I know the very good English they can speak too.Doctor okay? reading culture...Reading what? Have you written books and then gven them out to the national library free of charge?

Reading culture is either good or dangerous. What will these students read? There is a big difference between intelligence and book knowlegde Doctor. There is indeed.I 'Bulfaaleh' openy challenge Doctor Sidibe and Dr Taal on an online debate in relation to this topic right from this minute.
I am appealing to Pa Nderry  to invite them on line.

We need to challenge these people who make such remarks on debates.Jammeh should be taught the difference between minds that shout and those that discuss. There is the trend that can help our people refuse swallowing everything being said by these Doctors and analysts who always go unchallenged.Doctor Sidibe you seriously derailed.Send an apology to the Jamaican anthropologists forthwith.
