Ebrima Dibba,former Gambia Student Union Information Propaganda Secretary and also a strong supporter of the main opposition United Democratic Party (UDP)now based in Seattle in the United States, has accused Kebba Foon of being a “Green snake in a Green grass.” Dibba, who spoke to this paper also urged Mr.Foon to shut his mouth charging that Foon’s accusations against the UDP were “malicious and totally unfounded.”

Dibba, who has been a controversial student activist back home, was in an angry mood when he called the Freedom Newspaper to react to what he called Mr.Foon’s “bogus” allegations against Ousainou Darboe.

“ The claims that Darboe and the UDP had been promoting politics of tribalism in The Gambia are false and devoid of the truth. Foon has his own agenda and if he doesn’t shut his mouth shut we are going to expose him. He is nothing but a coward. He traveled to The Gambia few months ago, when the political situation was tense and he never commented on opposition activities. How can he used Darboe for his cheap propaganda.” Dibba fumed.

Mr.Dibba, went on to charge that Foon has been harboring grudges against Mr.Darboe, since he was the President of the Save The Gambia Democracy Project.”He never wanted Darboe to lead NADD and he have no reasons for his opposition for Darboe. His arguments are centered on tribal line.”Dibba charged.

Interestingly, Dibba, went on, “Foon don’t know who Ousainou Darboe is. Darboe, has repeatedly warns against tribal politics in The Gambia.”

Ebrima Dibba, said unless Kebba Foon, apologize to the UDP leader and his followers, they will never forgive him for the unwarranted attacks against the UDP leadership. “ Kebba Foon, has demonstrated his immaturity by making unsubstantiated allegations against Darboe. We are demanding an immediate retraction of his allegations or else we will expose him. His utterances are not the least helping the situation at hand. We expect him to be unifier and not a divider. This is unacceptable.”Dibba again fumed.

DIBBA LASHES AT STGDP

MR.Dibba also picked on the US based Save The Gambia Democracy Project saying that “They have failed Gambians. The least we expected from them was to expel Foon from their organization and not to issue “such a cheap” reprimand statement. Unless, decisive actions are taken against Foon, we will not take them seriously. I for one will not associate myself with such an organization. I think that the action taken by the STGDP on Foon’s case was not the right one.” Dibba claimed.

Dibba, added that he has been an active supporter of the STGDP Seattle branch since his arrival into the US one year ago.” But in view of these developments on the side of STGDP on Foon’s ranting and false allegations against my party leader, Ousainou Darboe, I have decided to distance my self from the organization for the sake of posterity. I will never aid and abet the likes of Kebba Foon, whose commitment to Gambia’s emancipation is questionable. His claim that he is an panafricanist is a  joke. He doesn’t possess the credentials of an Pan Africanist.”Dibba bitterly charged.

He says Foon’s types were bent on reducing Kurama’s dream into laughing stock. Dibba said he intends to come up with more revelations if Foon fails to shut his mouth. Efforts to reach Mr.Foon for comments proved futile as his phone went on voice mail.The Save The Gambia officials were also not available for immediate comments at the time of going to press.
