PANORAMA with 'Bulfaaleh'-President Jammeh's Musical Jamboree was not free of charge.

PRESIDENT JAMMEH’S MUSICAL JAMBOREE WITH YOUSSOU NDURE WAS NOT FREE OF CHARGE.
President Jammeh’s musical jamboree at the McCarthy Square(I do not recognize the current name attached to the square) was not free. Everything was costly both in cash and in kind. It is a lie for President Jammeh to call this show one that is free of charge. President used money to get latest instruments at this place. He invited the sub region’s or one of Africa’s most expensive artists in the name of Yousssou Ndure to perform the whole night.
If President Jammeh’s intension is to be truthful and caring let him expose what he discussed with Yousssou Ndure before and after the Senegalese artist staged the show. There are people who heard Youssou Ndure say that he had never seen musical instruments more expensive than those Jammeh presented to his group on that day. Youssou Ndure was asked to fly to Banjul with his group empty handed (he was asked to leave all his instruments in Dakar because there were more sophisticated ones in The Gambia waiting to be tested and tasted by Super Etoile).
President Jammeh at the State house was laughing. He always scorns at the opposition because he believes they do not know how to manipulate or lure Gambians towards certain vices. President Jammeh is a very shameless person to say the least. Can any good leader brag about sponsoring a show free of charge where Gambian farmers are dying of hunger? Where his government has chosen to drastically reduce the price per metric ton of peanuts? Why couldn’t Jammeh ask Youssou Ndure to stage a show after paying him and then use the funds realized to upgrade the Mile Two central prisons? At least this could have allowed him create more cells with better facilities because he is known for locking people up. If Mile Two can no longer contain these opponents where will he put them? If he himself is jailed wouldn’t he want to meet a better cell?
More will be written on this long line of wastage. I understand that Fatou Guewel Joof is also on her way to Banjul this evening. Agents are in town gathering information on these shows.
President Jammeh is the master of all ceremonies but we still do not have enough beds and medicine in our hospitals.
The year 2007 will be good for Gambians and so challenging for him Jammeh.
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM BULFAALEH TO ALL OUR FANS.THIS YEAR WE ARE MORE DETERMINED TO SERVE THE COUNTRY.
PRESIDENT JAMMEH WILL MEET TOUGHER RESISTANCE FROM BULFAALEH and team. God is our guide!
LONG LIVE FREEDOM!
