Banjul in total chaos,President Jammeh speeding towards mental illness or trying to mystify his sights and sounds again?
By now every Gambian must have seen the reason behind the writings of 'Bulfaaleh' and others during the past months. What else is left to be proven beyond reasonable doubt about this regime's decadence? Nothing less, nothing more. President Jammeh is gone way above the line of hopelessness. He has started sending us signals upon signals as to what surrounds his insane head. Sometimes there are Gambians who want to cover themselves with blankets under this extreme heat, only, because of the shame President Jammeh is spreading over their heads. What a disgrace!
President Jammeh of all people saying on the GRTS-Gambia Radio and Television services that he can cure HIV-AIDS by using spiritual powers? By using unpatented plants or herbs that have not been tested? He is also saying in the open that he has been allowed to cure only ten people at a time by his powerful spirits? Who is allowing who in this quagmire? While we have patients groaning in pain waiting to be buried by their loved ones,a president is using this as a chance to exploit donors abroad! He is trying to magnetize more funds from Cuba and Taiwan? Him President Jammeh accused the west of using Africans as guinea pigs. Now where does the truth lie?
What the people are yet to think about,GAMTEL bankrupt,NAWEC dead Jammeh needs more money....
President Jammeh has been milking NAWEC and GAMTEL dry for the past years. Now that these holes are public knowledge he has qualified more scape goats to be brought before his political abbatoir. Omar Ndow and Ebou Ceesay are into this dark hole. President Jammeh will do all he can to make sure that these elements will not have any chance of revealing anything implicating his image. He knows how much he has drained GAMTEL and Omar Ndow also knows this. President Jammeh is aware of the reason why him and Bala Gaye worked out a deal by creating the PAC-Public Accounts Committee. He knows what it entails to forge this unit and then keep the records in his drawer while attempting to defend himself. Jammeh is the defense council and the prosecutor at the same time. Can we ever see a verdict here? Never.President Jammeh's government has the highest number of commissions of enquiries in the whole world. His government at the same time has the lowest number of people being genuinely brought to book for having embezzled public funds through out the world. This will be a long line of action because Jammeh himself is the hub of this huge wheel of excess greed and corruption.
President Jammeh called the Cuban and the Taiwanese Ambassadors because he knows these envoys will be good partners in his newest crime.
Taiwan is vulnerable whereas Cuba is Isolated. In this case President Jammeh is playing the old game called "Tit-for-Tat". This is a term coming from gangster milieus. As we say here in The Gambia-"Do for me, a do for you". This means President Jammeh is deviating his chances of trying to make more money under false pretense. He knows what next he can do is to prepare a project and then send it over to Taipei or Havannah for more money.
My day at the RVH-Royal Victoria Hospital
Gambian nurses scared to remove their patients from hospital beds.
It is only in The Gambia that an uncertified person can practice on poor patients who are so vulnerable. How are they vulnerable? They do not have means to sue President Jammeh for exposing their medical records in pubic. They cannot ask any nurse to remove them from the list even whereas it is their natural right.Their actual treatment is being retarded by President Jammeh. As soon as I knew that President Jammeh was within the hospital premises,I rushed to be there to witness some of the craziness. I was flanking his delegation as an on-looker while using my ears and eyes to record everything in the best way I could. This was so serious. I did talk to some of the hospital workers! One will be amazed to hear the complaints coming from these nurses. They are scared to death, let alone the helpless patients waiting for Jammeh's hopelessness on their beds. I was informed that some patients did really not appreciate being put on TV during the President's visit. This was like a big shock for almost every patient he saw and touched. Culturally, traditionally and socially they feel deeply insulted by President Jammeh. One he exposed them on TV. Two he refreshed the deep wounds of social stigma in their minds.Three he made them feel so inferior by using a glove to touch them!
According to the nurse and doctors I spoke to,they wondered why President Jammeh could not have a side office at RVH to at least respect the patient's rights of confidentiality? If his intension is to help why invite Taiwan and Cuba in the open? Infact some of these trained medical personnel argued that Jammeh could have invited all embassies.
President Jammeh instead broke the customary laws of diplomacy according to a foreign diplomat I spoke to afterwards.
As soon as I saw President Jammeh approaching my end with his white latex gloves I squeezed myself near the wall and then escaped to a corner to watch and see more. He of course cannot still fathom who I am. I do meet and talk to him everyday but his mind does not catch that for now. I had President Jammeh cracking jokes to help mystify his powers! How on earth can someone use the serer-jola traditional teases in a situation based on life and death?
President Jammeh's way of attracting Oprah Winfrey from the USA in the making? His deep conversations revealed by his guards.
The latest revelations from the state house have given us more doses from President Jammeh's jar of insanity. According to one of his close guards I was told Jammeh's intension is to see Oprah go to Banjul, because he saw what she was doing in South Africa via his satelite TV. This may sound strange but it is so true. President Jammeh is working so so hard to get Oprah within his circle of money market. President Jammeh says he will use these tactics to attract more money from philanthropists like her. We all know that Youssou Ndour the Senegalese artist is involved in that too. Yousssou was in Banjul to stage a show that President Jammeh said was free of charge. In my last pieces I told Gambians that the show was not free of charge. As time goes on people will be seeing more about what we say regarding Jammeh. In the past I also wrote about President pouring "saafara" or talisman on state house vehicles. The latest pictures from the state house speak for themselves on that I think.
