In a press release yesterday, the government of the Gambia and the entire leadership of the ruling APRC party regrets to announce the death of Mr.Kebba Touray, the Parliment member for Kombo East. Mr Touray, who left for cuba for medical treatment dies yesterday 15th March 2006, the release went further to state that funeral arrangement would be announced  in due course.

 Mr. Touray, a  Parliment member for the ruling APRC is believed to be a very important tool for the APRC in kombo East and his demise can be a big blow for the party. Now here is another chance for NADD to prove to Gambians and the break away parties that NADD is still powerful.

Meanwhile the IEc is yet to be officially notified  by the clerk of the
National Assembly for the vacant post that can pave a way for by-elections.
