'Bulfaaleh' does not want to miss this side of President Jammeh's legacy.A legacy of deals and scams.Some of these scams give Jammeh money,they turn around and rip him off and! are first class comedy too.

Okay! If some of us missed the 'Shine I' scam around 2000 lets refresh our minds on it this night.'Shine I' came to The Gambia,she  bulldozed every so-called Big Man in Banjul like a strong gale.First she organized a fund raiser.She made money and then was ushered by then chief of Protocol Mustafa James Kujabi to meet President Jammeh. That was  bait number ONE. 'Shine I' presented a check of D200,000.00(Two hundred thousand dalasis) to Jammeh.She was received like a Princess at the State house. 'Shine I' girl was followed by State house photographers while walking majestically into the Prez's office.Gambians remember seeing this 'Shine I' girl on GRTS.

She was the talk of town in those days.She was called the beauty queen from London! Woooow! She was seen in the streets of Banjul dressed in the most provocative styles,riding on fancy cars.Where did she get these cars from? Mystery questions and mystery answers.We may never know the true response.

As soon as 'Shine I's name rose to the clouds(which is very easy under Jammeh) she went ahead then organized a beauty contest! Calling it West African or Subregional beauty contest.This was the real scam.Of course 'Shine I' was ready to get her check back.What did she do to those gullible people, who were close to the seat of power? She picked up different girls at random ie from the area, Senegal,Gambia ang the two Guineas.These girls were people who never posed a foot on stage as contestants before.She made a a lot of noise,sent out invitation letters to big wigs even our Vice Prez was on board.

Sorry! what happened? 'Shine I's' girls could not even speak the official languages of the regions or countries they claimed to represent on stage.The comedy started at that point.

Ooops! the organizing 'Shine I' girl pretended as if she was giving water to one of the contestants on stage. She did so because that particular contestant forgot the name of her country of origin on stage! 'Shine I' rushed towards the stammering contestant,as soon as she came closer to the poor girl on stage. 'Shine I' girl whispered Mauritania...into the poor girl's ears.Can you imagine that at this point Gambian officials from the Dept of Tourism where there cheering 'Shine I' girl up? What a comedy.This is true friends,it all happen under Jammeh in 2000.

Later on it was found out that 'Shine I' girl was lying,the girls were picked from Farafeni,Karang and other border towns. The rest where from Banjul it self.They were poor girls called in to be used to sell tickets.

Too late..too bad... Afterwards,'Shine I' was picked up by the NIA disgraced and then left to flee.

She was also the actual 'Shine I' for a car dealer who sold Mercedez cars to Jammeh.These cars were pursued to Banjul by the interpol.

Nope Gambia...Jammeh is not free from the 419 ring.He is a president but at the same time part of the skimming scams in town.Watch out! Jammeh did it with Babanding Sisoho too. Look out for "Bulfaaleh's" next edition soon.
