Breaking News:State House Web Master Mamie Sarr Warns Freedom-Editors React!
Mamie Saar a web master at the Gambia's State House, has emailed the Freedom Newspaper cautioning us to stop copying images from their site. Mamie's mail was sent to us on January 29TH 2007 and was being reviewed by the editorial board of this paper since then. It has now been confirmed that the mail is authentic and was indeed from Ms.Sarr. We invite you to visit the state house website and click on their contact us button and see what will pop up. Her email address is being used as the state house's contact person. Ms.Sarr got it all wrong. This paper got its pictures from our camera man in Banjul, who is hired to monitor the movements of the President. We have material evidence to prove our claims. Lets Ms.Sarr and her group consider taking us to court and see what would happened. Assuming that we got the said pictures from the state house website, what is the beef here? Is the state house not funded by the Gambian tax payers? What's illegal about copying pictures from the site? Come on... Ms.Sarr. You need to grow up and stop this low life. Your boss Yahya Jammeh is looking for publicity with his fake aids cure. Your mail to the Freedom Newspaper would no doubt undermine his efforts. You may ask why publishing your letter at this time? The answer is simple. Guess what, we at Freedom believe in authenticating mails sent to us before reacting. You are free to defend yourself. Below is the unedited mail we received from the state house web master Mamie Sarr. Please read on...

Madam Sarr should not blame us for exposing her letter online because we want to demonstrate to Gambians how Freedom is being perceived at the state house. The likes of Madam Sarr insults Jammeh behind his back and turn around to call us patriotic sons and daughters of the soil as "criminals" and bad citizens. We don't need to brows the state house website to get Jammeh's pictures. There are dozens of sources we could use to get his picture. If Ms.Sarr is under pressure from the power that be-she should be honest enough to tell the truth and stop blackmailing Freedom. We have the know how to penetrate Jammeh's bed room. This is no joke. There are more damaging stories coming in days to come. Ms.Sarr should with immediate effect stop accusing us or risked being exposed beyond redemption.
Yahya Jammeh should now know that the Freedom Newspaper is well established in the Gambia and elsewhere across the globe. We are committed to the media project, we have for our dear mother land the Gambia. Ours is not to smear the President and his government, but to report the truth and nothing but the truth. Their are "Green snakes" surrounding the President who parade themselves as true supporters of the system when in actual fact they are not. We are real people with conscience. We don't believe in flip-flopping. As a media institution our credibility lies on the type of stories we report and its accuracy. God so good, our stories have never been disputed by this government. A boot leaker like Madam Sarr cannot question our unshakable credibility. Our integrity and credibility is intact. Gambians and friends of the Gambia like what we report. Few dissenting voices from enemies of Freedom cannot move us. We always anticipate such critics, who are in the business of smearing the image of hard working Gambians committed to emancipating our people from despotism. Madam Sarr exposes her own stupidity by troubling Freedom. Gambians should judge who are sneakers among our midst. Madam Sarr must have a bad day today. This is the price of being dishonest. We rest our case.
