Breaking News:Where is Daba and Co., Is Koro's Death Orchestrated
By Landing Badjie,Our National Correspondent

It is almost a year now today or so when Daba Marenah, the former NIA boss alongside others have gone missing in bizarre circumstances.According to the Gambian authorities, Mr.Marenah and co. have escaped whilst being escorted from Banjul to Janjanbureh prisons in the Central River Region of The Gambia.

Mr Marenah, 2nd Lt. Ebou Lowe, RSM Alpha Bah and others have been accused of plotting against the Jammeh administration in March of last year but they reportedly escaped heavily armed men during their course of transfer from Mile II in Banjul to Janjanbureh. Though the State did not tell the Gambian  people where and when exactly the men escaped.

The news of the 'escape' of Daba and co. was received with a mixed feeling. Many were baffled as to how these men can effect their escape from armed security men unfazed. Have they not being handcuffed during their transfer from Banjul. People also doubted the state's explaination that the men escaped because the vehicle they were being transported has sommersaulted.

One year on, the expectation from the Gambian authorities is for them to clear the doubts of the many people who are coming up with various theories about the Daba and co. disappearance from public view.

In a similar development,it would be 85 days ahead of today when it would be 12 years when a Gambian finance minister was found dead in his car in mysterious circumstances .Ousman Koro Ceesay's charred body was found in his burnt car near the Kombo South village of Jambur in Western Region of The Gambia on a chilly June 26 evening. It was on Monday, 25 June 1995 that
ex-finance minister Ceesay was found dead in his burnt car but almost 12 years down the line, the Gambia government is still to unravel the mystery  that the young, intelligent finance minister's death is shrouded in.

Like many mysterious deaths and disappearances during the AFPRC/APRC dispensations, the cause of Koro's death would remain a well-kept secret but  if the Yaya Jammeh administration want to exonerate itself, it must be seen to be serious with the tasks of unraveling the mysteries..
