The President of Sierra Leone,Alhaji Ahmed Tejan Kabbah, this evening arrived in Banjul for a day`s working visit.The Sierra Leonean president, whose planed touched down at the BanjulInternational Airport at 7pm, was received on arrival by his Gambian eqivalent, members of the diplomatic and the consular corps, senior Gambiangovernment officials and members of the business community.
It was not publicly made known as to what president Kabbah was finding in Banjul but it is believed that the two presidents will discuss the strenthening of the bilateral cooperation between their countries as well as sub-regional peace.
The Gambia and Sierra Leone have a long-standing relationship and the country is a host to thousands of Sierra Leanean nationals who come to seek refuge in the country during that country`s bloody anarchic war.
