GAMBIAS VETERAN JOURNALIST AND ACTOR DIES
The death of Mamadou Musa Secka, a veteran Gambian journalist and actor was announced yesterday by his family members. Mr. Secka who died at the MRC Fajara by 9:00am was laid to rest by 5:00pm at the serekunda cemetery.

Mr. Secka who worked for the Gambia government for many years also
underwent overseas training in Mass Communication and related fields. Mr.
Secka was the Editor-in-chief of the daily observer in 1993 and was later
appointed as the Principal Information Officer at the Gambia daily news.
Secka is survived by three (3) wives and several children. In attendance
at the burial ceremony was the Secretary of state for Information
Communication and Technology Mrs. Nenneh Macdoll Gaye and several senior government officials and dignitaries. Efforts to speak to his family
members were impossible due to the nature of the scene, but some who spoke to this paper express their sympathy to the disease. Yama Jobe said I have know him for so long now and he is a very very working and good man, we will surely miss him as tears ran down her eyes.
