ANOTHER BLOW FOR NADD

Seven executive members of the People's Progressive Party have resigned from NADD with effects from the 17th March 2006 dependable sources from the Party (PPP) secretariat has revealed. The source said we held an executive meeting on the 3rd March, purposely for the issue of theresignation, but let me make it very clear to you that it is not the party that resigns from NADD but some executive members of the party only.

The sources also reveal that the just resigned members of the PPP executive from NADD has pledge their allegiance to the UDP/NRP coalition. The source said during the meeting, there was some division within the executive about the resignation but all executives members unanimously agreed that the party should not resigned from NADD. The source also reveals that Mr.Musa Drammeh an executive member of the PPP made up his mind to resign and later motivated the others.

This paper was reliably informed that Musa Drammeh on behalf  of the others tendered their resignation letter to Hon Halifa Sallah the flag bearer and also the coordinator of NADD on Friday.

The resigned PPP executive members from NADD are Musa Drammeh, Yaya Ceesay, Omar Sey, Kutty Sanyang, Dembo Jatta, Sulayman Touray and Lamin Jombo Bojang.

When contact to shed light on the issue, the interim leader of the PPP Omar Amadou Jallow alias OJ said it is true that we held the meeting and the meeting was purposely for the resignation and these 7 executives members of the PPP has resigned from NADD and not PPP with effects from the 17th March 2006. This move doese not mean that PPP will resign from NADD no that will never happen he concludes. Efforts to speak to Halifa Sallah the flag bearer and also the NADD coordinator proves fruitless
