WHERE IS GAMBIA'S OWN "MBARODI" LION?
Dear Pa,
Please give me a little space on most authoritative online Newspaper to write about the Gambia's failed "MBARODI" Lion? Thank you and your entire staff for the good work. What causes Juwara's sudden change and disloyalty to the Gambian opposition movement? Pa, I was so sad and disappointed when I read your interview with Juwara.
This is not the Juwara I have known for a long time! As a matter of fact, I don't know what President Jammeh has given fellow man for the past 13 years other than tortures and humiliations. Who knows, maybe he is now working an under cover for the Jammeh government or getting free paychecks from the president.
If not then, I think Juwara is very scared and tired of getting tortured again. He sounds very weak which tells Gambia's population that he is not the man he once was. Everyone knows Juwara as a brave man and not a coward. It is very sad for those men who have stood up for this country for a very long time fighting for democracy only to let them down. Maybe this is why he hasn't been the successor in prior year's elections. I want him to know we Gambians are not fools, and once we have been disappointed, we will never come back. Today Pa Nderry, Saihou Sabally and others in self-exile are braver and true heroes than he is, because those people care more about their families, the Gambia and his people than him. Juwara are now one of Jammeh's "Gewels".
Nelson Mandela, the former president of South Africa, paid a heavy price for his beliefs. He astonishes able efforts in making sure his people succeed that made him vulnerable to all kinds of cells and tortures. He relentlessly stood up strong for his country until he finally won leads them and fought their rights. Today, South Africa is a lot more democratic than most African countries, which makes Mandela one of the greatest soldiers Africa has, and will ever know! He will remain one of the most brave and prominent icons in both South African, and world history. If only each of us could carry that same courage, bravery and commitment to the next elections, we can truly show our gratitude for those warriors who have gone before us to further improve our Africa what it is today.
Juwara's negative attitude towards the oppositions that he started this past election has contributed to the cause of the failure in the past presidential election.
I have only few words to tell Juwara, "You are disillusionment to Gambian people!"
