Lt Colonel Sarjo Fofana was Indeed in the USA and Mambureh Njie too...
By Hammadi Maasinah.

Oh sure freedomnewspaper, you did a good job on the story surrounding Lt Colonel Sarjo Fofana. The man was certainly out of The Gambian territory when you pieced the story together. As recent as a week back Mr Fofana was in the USA on what he called a seminar or course. If the family of Fofana continues making noise about this latest denial they will live to regret that. This is a promise coming from a colleague in the army. Lt Colonel Fofana came back from the USA,yes. He is at home, yes but that does not mean he never left the country. He did. If he deserted or not is not my pancake all I can say is that Lt Fofana knows am not telling a fairy tale here. If he wants he can openly debate the issue with the freedomnewspaper. This paper is being invited to use me during that debate, then Fofana will learn a lesson he will live to remember for ever. Fofana's flight details, etc etc are all in my posession as I am writing this story. If not for the sake of the poor families of people who work at the GIA I would have set a drastic example for Fofana to know that the army has been infiltrated by counter Intelligence on the ground. Let them NOT jubilate too soon, freedomnewspaper did not lie they were given "patches" of information but the greater part of it was true. If Lt Colonel Sarjo wants let him make noise and see. I am sorry then some people at the GIA maybe picked up because I will then be left with no other option but reveal his ticket number and flight details. After all is the GNA all that secretive? I am giving them an ultimatum here to either keep quiet or see  on the internet how Sarjo's trip was followed from home then back. Jammeh is a buffoon anybody can baffle him with praises.Another person of Interest who used to be a bigwig under Jammeh traveled to the USA during the past two weeks. He is Mambureh Njie former Secretary General and head of the civil service. Njie came to the USA for personal reasons according to the source who was attached to trail him.
The editor of the freedomnewspaper should not back down on this story about Fofana. His head should be high up. God knows there are more revelations to follow on Sarjo Fofana in days to come. Then he will know him, Lang Tombong and Jammeh will know they can never ever beat the surveillance around them. There is no way that the present movement against Jammeh's crude operations will leave any vent leaking. This remgime will be sent packing in a very fatal way. I was laughing when I saw Fofana's family members staging the show on his behalf. Have they forgotten what some army officers told Fofana when he participated in killing our friends and relatives  after the march coup? Have they? Sarjo Fofana's turn is on the way.
Infact has the freedomnewspaper forgotten how they were being castigated when they wrote the story on Bajinka while he was in Nigeria? Didn't Bajinka go back to Banjul? Didn't his brother deny that story the same way Fofana's relatives are doing now? What happened afterwards? Bajinka was nearly captured and killed. In the beginning his wife was spared. Later she was humiliated at Amdalaye border, stripped nacked and searched by male soldiers. The same army sources denied the Bajinka story in the beginning just like they are doing with this one today. Where is Bajinka today? In Dakar where Jammeh is accusing him of being aided and abetted by Dakar to topple his government. He went to the extent of writing a whole editorial on the daily observer accusing Dakar.
Two days ago the same Jammeh sent Fatou Jahumpa Ceesay to attend a special occasion in Dakar  trying to appease President Wade.
I saw Fatou Jahumpa Ceesay  exchanging gifts with her Senegalese counter part live on TV. She wore a dark blue Ambassador suit plaited with thick rasta braids. Let her deny that and see.
So Mr Mbai you had a true story the government and Fofana rushed to patch up things, not to reveal more instability period.
Look out for more surprising details from within the army. Gambia is not stable!
