Flooding causes harvoc in Gambia

Dozens of town men and women left homeless

 Flood victims want Gov't to come to their aid.

Flooding last night caused panic among citizens around Tiper Garrage and parts of Sukuta  around the same area breaking some houses and leaving some vehicles submerged in the flood waters. According to Malang  a driver at the garrage, the flood water has caused harvoc twice now on them and they have nothing to do. He said the flood water comes with vegence with a lot of rubbish from the pile of refuse in  their environment since it is ncleared.

Speaking to some residents, Colley Kunda, Mendy Kunda Badjie Kunda were introuble because they had to pack their belongings to else where because all their things got wet including rice their staple food. Sang Mendy said their pigs were all gone and that they had nothing to do but to ask government to assist them.

A house in Badjie Kunda fell and the shop keepper fled from there with lots of goods perishing. The Tiper Garrage submerged and some trucks stood in the centre of the fflood waiting for the water to leave the place their owners to start them if they will ever start.They beg government for their assistance to create good drainages.
