Major Ebrima Bah, Capt. Jammeh Released

Impeccable sources yesterday confirmed to The Point the release of Major Ebrima Bah and Captain Famara Jammeh linked with last Tuesday abortive coup.

The Point could not, at the time of writing this story, establish the reason(s) for the release of the two but it was confirmed that interrogations are still in progress.

The release of Captain Jammeh and Major Bah now bring to twenty-six, the number of people currently under detention at Mile II in connection with last week’s foiled coup.

It would be recalled that the Director-General of Immigration Department, Mr Musa Mboob, was also released on Sunday, the very day he was arrested.

In another news, Lawyer Antouman Gaye and former GPA managing director, Adama Deen, were said to have been arrested on Monday morning.
