Thank you very much my dear muslim brother. Bofore I go any furthur, I will let you know that I have no bad feeling for Imam Fatty. I studied Islamic Law just like him and I also studied comparative studies of religions. I am sorry that you are defending someone blindly just because you know him. Any way Suntu Touray has already said everything. I dont have to go much further with you because you sound like you know nothing about the holy Quran and Hadith.
The Holy Prophet said "What its harm outweighs the benefit is forbidded." Now, can you tell me what the benefits of F.G.M. are. Please dont tell me its because it helps them not to be sexually active. What people always take to be their excuse is that they fear girls getting sexually and become pregnent without a husband. I am telling you that is useless in this our generation and does not helpif the youths are not ready to change themselves, If no one can explain the benefit then its useless. You want yo explain sunna to me but you do not actually know what you are saying.
I will now explain your own words to you in lame mans term. When the Holy Prophet was entering Medina, They received him with drums and the Medina people were all dancing men, women and children and singing TALAALBADRU ALAINA....... Did the Prophet stop them? Now I ask you, drumming and dancing and singing the praises of God is it good or bad. Now Iwant you to be hournest to yourself. 2) Didnt The Prophet sercunsize his son Ibrahim? If so then why didnt he sercumsize his daughters if it is also part of his practice? May allah forgive. 3)As he has urged muslims to sercumsize their sons, is there any single hadith that urges us to do so to our daughters? Now however ignorant you may be, I think you will understand what I AM TALKING ABOUT.
Look there are uncountable scholars who has been saying the illigality of F.G.M. and thats the truth. If imam fatty is your relative I am sorry, but no one make F.M.G. a sunna based on the fact that bacause your tribe practice it. I belong to a tribe in the Gambia that practice it, but I will not practice any thing in the name Islam which is unfound. My last word to you is please dont be a muslim someone eles speaches. Your belive should be based on Quran and Hadith. Imam Malick said in MUATA MALICK." If my words are different from the words of Muhammad, throw mine out of the fence" That is the truth. Ithink my dear brother can benefit from this. I am not tring to belitte Imam Fatty but when its time to say the truth, I do not look back.
