In appreciation of Michael Scale's encouraging remarks-Africa is ours!
By Essa Bokarr SEY the son of an African villager!

Today as I was reading through the educative, informative and wise pieces on the freedomnewspaper,I came accross a very powerful one from Mr  Michael Scales again. I was carried far away into the absract and powerful world again while running through Scale's Shakespearian words! I really never thought of seeing my name in that powerful framework of words. It was an honour and elevation to say the least. I have been seeing Michael quote me in many other pieces however, this one was just so good to say the least. It is not about him mentioning my name,it is about the contents of the piece that shook me!

In view of the former please allow to cordially invite once again to Africa as a son of the brown continent! Read my words very carefully please....

Dear Michael,
Africa is ours! It is a piece of land that welcomes goodness from any part of the world. It is us humans who realise boundaries but not migrating birds, swimming dolphins or earthquakes and tremors. Thus the the reason why a great mind once said the following..."evolution does not know morality". Morality is for us,however, cynicism and evil is also from within the human circle. Therefore inventors and producers cannot stamp words like MADE FOR on their products. They will only stamp words like MADE IN on any of those products. MADE IN China does not mean, not to be sold in Africa! The same applies to what was made in the United Kingdom. This Indeed means Michael you are welcome to talk about Africa as much as we are welcome to talk about the UK.How many African journalist work for the BBC? How many of them conduct programs on the BBC focus on Africa? Many of them for that matter!
Michael,no one can cage a mind. Minds fly to destinations where migrating birds, swimming dolphins and earthquakes or tremors cannot reach!
The person who invented the lantern lamps I was using at my village during my tender age was not my grand father! Those buckets I used at the village's well had MADE IN POLAND at the bottom. The matches were made in France, the marlboro I saw my uncles smoke came all the way from the USA. The rice we eat back home comes from far away places like Thailand or Veitnam. This is why the global village of socio-political activities does not recognise any other colour but copper, silver or green. The coins and the notes period!
What matters is the way we can work together, sell our products to one another and then make this world become one single village of production and promotion. There are no boundaries where the ocean of ideas starts to flow with those giant waves called cooperation!
Africa is not a wild beast of fury working on revisiting old wounds. We know history cannot be erased,so dare we also call for an exemplary path in the future. This cannot be done in isolation. The west needs us! We also need the west! This is as far as wisdom dictates.
The word diplomacy maybe European whereas the language of diplomacy is universal.
That is why the fine traditions of International laws got Charles Taylor from Sieraleone to the Hague. He chose to be transfered to the Hague! Well where is the Africanism in him here? He knows the difference between narrow nationalism and responsibility here. That is why Africa is not a cake to be caged in one man's oven. It is part of the world where we are always ready to reciprocate goodness with goodness and evil with civility. That is the Africa of today. This is the era of Inernationalised versions not totalitarianism at the farthest.  Many of our men and women have been given sanctuary in your country after escaping the fangs of killing regimes. From that very Africa those evil leaders are trying use as a springboard for the development of their hypocricy!. That is where laws come into play then scrape narrow nationalism and sour feelings aside. See Africa as a GATE where you  are so welcome to pass through and share with the inhabitants.

Sincerely Yours,
Essa Bokarr SEY the son of an African villager!
