Several Soldiers from the State Guard and two civilians today graduated from IT training at their IT School based in the State House assisted by Quantum Associates and Air Tip.According to their training instructor Momodou MD Sama, 21 students including 2 civilians trained in this 7th batch of intake that were giving certificates today. He said 5 got distinction, while 8 got credit and the other 8 just passed and 2 among them failed. He praised Jammeh for letting them achieve this. He said Quantum donated lots of money and training materials.
Major Serign Momodou Njie, Commanding Officer State Guard, It was Sama that had all the dreams of the IT school which dream came through. He said about 412 students have graduated from the school including civililians.
Gibril Chor, Manager Quantum Associates said it was a joint venture meant to empower State Guards. He said the development of people is to modernise the society. He termed them role models. He says, "You should fight ignorance and fight poverty."
SoS Neneh Macdouall Gaye,said the training course attracts a lot. "There is a common saying that without peace there is nothing right.The skills will enhance your performance, put it into use." She said Jammeh has transformed the army. She said people can now sleep comfortably without fear.
