Michael Scales's views on Sankanu's piece!
Democracy is alive ,freedom prevails.

Dear Mr.Editor,
                        For a brief moment, i thought  ?.....But then i slept and awoke with the morning dew and was born again.I do not possess the interlect of Sankanu,I do not have the warrior strength of Maasinah,I can aspire to the principal of Mbai,but alas i will always be a whiteman..as such as high as i reach, this prize is beyond me.The wisdom of Sey, can only dazzel me, the mechanics of Burama F.L.Jammeh ,inspirational and sound, For i am uneducated..just a poor boy made good.Nevertheless ,i am born of good parents who gave me common sense.My claim to history, is that i made some money by Gods grace and gave it to the children of Gambia.Though a thousand spears may reign down upon me ,Nothing and noone can ever doubt my judgement.I am not against Mr.Jammeh,but there are so many questions of Law and its absence that trouble me.It will take me 12 months to totally absorb and understand the message of Sankanu..its content so rich in wisdom.Were his ,a passing ship ,i would gladly jump a board in total safety to enjoy its meandering journey.Sankanu for President !!! i say .However he confirms that the estate that the President enjoys ..is as a noble King of Africa.For that wisdom i can now rest in peace.His defence of the Fatou's reassuring.I have been blesssed with two African wives, one who bore my sons,the other who bares my hopes and dreams.Both are strong and resolute.The future is well served.The emergence of freedom through these humble pages,serves the Africans aspirations well.I still maintain that it is the responsibility of the individual to examine there personal conscience and to work towards there childrens future.Those who have given there todays, for there childrens tomorrows are the true spirit of humanity.To those who preach the failed doctrin of War and conflict in the name of religion, i say look again at your bible, inwhatever form.The laws of God are human and achievable in peace ,not bloodshed.In my view...the United Nations was a fine and unreproachable temple of oppertunity for Mankind.My only regret is that it is not located in Zimbabwe or Iran or Palestine.I have friends in all of theses countries, there aspirations are no different to those of all peaceful citizens of the World.I do not chastise any of there leaders....all are entitled to there vision of reality, even President Jammeh,God bless him !!! The World has to start singing from the same Hymn sheet .So that all can face the challenge of greater issues set to destroy mankind...Global warming, riseing sea levels,Polution of the atmosphere,and the many viruses that are becomming more resilient to medication.Mine is a the simple message of a simple man.I have always thought that simplicity..travels further and faster than the 186,000 thousand miles per second {The speed of enlightenment }

Thanks to you, you and you............Michael.
