 In Support of Mr Scales

By David Sambou,UK

Allow me space to express sadness to learn that Mr
Scales might not be writing any further in this
Bantaba judging by his last article. If at all Mr
scales decides not to write for obvious reasons he has
sighted, his wit and comprehensive knowledge and fair
contributions to this forum will be greatly
missed.

Having lived in the UK for quite some time, I
can say it is not quite frequent to come across people
like him who demonstrate an understanding of the
African continent and share in the passion of
suggesting better ways to move it forward.
I do not know him personally, but believe his pen to some
extent reveals what kind of person he is. One might not
agree entirely with some of his viewpoint as a matter
of fact it's almost impossible to agree entirely with
everything that anybody has to say but the mere fact
that these debate were constantly on and opinions are
being shared on issues no matter how radical some
prove to be. This forum is a microcosism of what is
supposed to be happening in the Gambia in the bigger
picture in terms of free speech. This is a common
believe shared by people like Mr Scales, the highly
regarded Watchman and many more. I will like to tell Mr
Scales not to heed to detractors, they can't keep you
down. As a believer in the bible he should continue to
give praise to the Lord for the Bible says "Praise be
to God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are his"
