More Revelations on 21 March Foiled Coup

The latest among those that gave their own versions of what they knew about 21st March foiled coup were two marabouts, Omar Faal from Badibbu Jalalitankonjala and Ousman Sey, an Islamic teacher at Latrikunda Danso Lower Basic School .

First, we begin with Omar Faal’s narration as transcribed by our very own Nfamara Jawneh:

I left The Gambia on the second day of Ramadan via Dakar to Nairobi, Kenya. In Kenya, I became well-known with so many people consulting me. One fine day, a certain man introduced to me by my guardian, consulted me , asking that I pray for him. I prayed for him and he gave me CFA 1,000.He then asked me to help him with the contact of anyone in The Gambia who he can laiase with while here in The Gambia so he can be able to keep regular contacts with me. I then gave him the address and the phone number of my wife.

Three weeks later, he telephoned me, requesting that I pray for Alieu Jobe too because they had an intention to effect a regime change through coup d’etat. But I warned my caller that coup d’etat is not good. I told him that I had a dream wherein I saw President Jammeh riding a bicycle. This, I told my caller, was an indication that Jammeh’s days are over. 

However, when I travelled to The Gambia from Nairobi, I received a phone call that a coup plot was foiled in the country.

 I spoke with Alieu Jobe who requested that I pray for him so that he will not be named in the coup plot. I told him to kill three sheep and divide the meat of each into eight portions.

Later on, Abdou Deen phoned, saying that they’ve got the sheep and have in fact brought them to my compound in Kerr Serign and when  I went home I found them there before informing them to slaughter the sheep in their own compounds as I earlier told them. But the sheep were nonetheless slaughtered in my compound and the meat taken away.

On Wednesday morning, Alieu Jobe called me, saying he wanted to run away but I told him not to because since, according to him, he [Jobe] was not a soldier and therefore I see no reason for him to run. He however pleaded that I should help him. I then gave him my own amulet. He later informed me that the mastermind of the foiled coup is his relative who also need charms. So I also gave him six amulets of mine before he gave me D400 which is still with me.
