“Bajinka Talks to Embassy Officials in Washington DC and the State House” Reveals Embassy Official
The self exiled Army Major Kalifa Bajinka, has moved from Boston to New York City, well placed sources told the Freedom Newspaper today. The disgraced Army Major, who arrived in this country recently, has picked up a street vendor job in the Bronx, where he sells perfumes, colons and other household needs, this paper can authoritatively report. During a visit to a shopping street in Bronx, Bajinka was seen busy selling perfumes to passersby and other pedestrians. The former Army Major is gradually picking up the New York busy life. He openly displayed his products in a bid to woe customers. This reporter met dozens of Gambians and non Gambians at the shopping spot, where Bajinka could be heard cursing President Yahya Jammeh and his Government. A young Gambian petty trader remarked” Bajinka you sounds like Yahya Jammeh. You have the same voice. How comes that you are cursing him when you used to guard him? Are you for real?” Bajinka in response commented” Yahya Jammeh is an evil. He is a bad man who is hell bent on causing mayhem in the Gambia. I never supported him.” This reporter was on a visit to a friend’s petty trader who earlier informed him about Bajinka’s presence at their Market.
For now, Bajinka depends on the proceeds of his perfume sales to feed his family. He is hosted by a Gambia friend in New York. His failure to stay in Boston raises doubts as to whether the Major had indeed been granted Asylum, as earlier reported. Refugees who resettled into this country, through the US Humanitarian Protection Services are usually hosted by International Refugee Institutes. Upon arrival, they are provided with housing, food, medication among a host of other things. They also received food stamps, cash support, pending securing employment. Some of these refugees also benefit from the US English class. The move is intended to prepare the refugees to have a better understanding of the American English and also familiarize themselves with the US accent.
If Bajinka is on a holiday, he is not allowed by law to work in this country. He might be violating the conditions of his visa, which could lead to his subsequent arrest and deportation. People with visitors visas are not allowed to work while in the US.
Last year, the US Customs and Immigration Services deported the wife of Gambian Minister Mami Minteh Touray. Mrs.Touray was said to have violated her visitors visa by engaging in unauthorized work while in the US. She was banned for ten years from coming back to this country. Most of her kids are US subjects. The Minister’s wife has been using the US as a save heaven for her unfinished baby making spree in recent years. Hardly a year passes without Yankuba impregnating Mami.
According to informed sources reaching this paper, Major Bajinka is currently very desperate and had been picking on Yahya Jammeh during his late afternoon breaks. The former Major has been speaking out openly about Jammeh’s tyranny.
At some point, Bajinka expressed regrets for serving the APRC Government. He unsuccessfully tried to win the hearts and minds of his street sellers colleagues. “This man thinks that we are dummies. He helped the President to harm Gambians and yet he want us to believe his stories. This was the very Bajinka who was accused of burning the Independent Newspaper. He was also accused of harboring Sanna Manjang at his Mile Seven Residence. Bajinka is still talking to Embassy Staff in Washington DC. He has contacts at the State House. This man still works for Yahya. He is here for a Mission. I will not listen to this sellout.” said a petty trader.
A source close to the Gambian Embassy in DC also confirmed that Bajinka had been talking to the officials of the Embassy. “ Bajinka has been talking to the Embassy officials since his arrival. He collects a lot of information from the Embassy officials via the State House. I doubt if this man’s life is threatened as he claimed. A man running from persecution should avoid having ties with the Government he claimed to have persecuted him. He might be here as an undercover for Jammeh or he still have loyalists at the Gambian Embassy in DC and at the State House. Bajinka have access to this people. The US authorities should closely watch this guy. He is dinning with the Gambian authorities in the US.” said a well placed source close to the Gambian Embassy in DC.
This paper had gathered that a female Protocol officer currently in the US was among Bajinka’s contacts. This protocol officer name withheld also had close ties with the Gambian Embassy in DC. “ If this guy can fool the US, he cannot fool us. We are privy to his dubious activities. It’s a great mistake for Bajinka to be admitted into the US. He is persecutor full time. He spent most his career helping the repressive regime in Banjul to persecute Gambians. Bajinka is not eligible for any Immigration benefit.” said our source.
Meanwhile, some concerned Gambians residing in the US, who spoke to this paper say they are working on Bajinka’s case in a bid to ensure that he is not allowed to live in the US under asylum claim. These concerned Gambians are currently talking to Immigration Experts on the matter. They intend to present evidence to the State Department, the Department Of Home Land Security and other agencies in this country, linking Bajinka to persecution. The spokesman of the said group said “ Persecutors like Bajinka needs to be exposed. We shall go by whatever advise given to us by our attorneys. Our action to get Bajinka kick out from this country will serve as a test case. Immigration benefits derived through false pretense can be revoked if the alleging party(ies) back their cases with solid facts and evidence. If we are ready with our ground works we will keep you posted.” said our source.
This reporter was able to meet Bajinka one and one. In that, the former Major openly vent his anger and frustrations against the Jammeh leadership. Bajinka is a loose canon blaming Yahya Jammeh for his current predicaments. It worth visiting the Bronx Market and witness first hand about Bajinka's unfinished rantings. My visit was a success. Bajinka is an interesting dude. Very interesting. Soldiers too are good businessmen. I enjoyed the way he markets his products. Welome to America.
