Ceesay and Jones Exposed-Disturbing Revelations!

Yahya Jammeh is a bad son who uses these sellouts to sell his battered image!

These two journalists are guilty of misinformation over the years. Mam Sait Ceesay and Malick Jones shamelessly used their positions as State media Practitioners to feed news thirsty Gambians with lies about Government’s so called developmental programs in their day to day news coverage. Today, these journalists are classified as enemies of the state. They have been accused of working with the US based Freedom Newspaper, a charge this paper’s Editors denied.

Appearing in court for the first time, the pale looking journalists, rejected the indictments. They have not only lost their jobs, but are also in the bad books of the Government they helped to project its battered image. Ceesay and Jones have long been inciting violence and hatred in The Gambia, with their unfinished media coverage calculated to smear the silent majority of the Gambian population. They can be compared with the Ugandan Radio, which helped to promote genocide in that French Speaking country.

In short, these so called journalists distort the truth by openly lying that Yahya Jammeh is a saint and messier. In the process, Jammeh is often over carried or misled by such praise singing style of journalism to the point of believing that he is God's  loved son. Jammeh is nothing but a despised son. He is a bad son causing mayhem in The Gambia, thanks to the few dishonest elites backing him. That, he sometimes equate himself with God. Than he can change the Gambia over night. That he is so powerful that there shouldn't be dissent in the country. That all journalists should dance to his dictates.

History is in the making. No one at the GRTS ever dreamt of seeing Jammeh’s adopted sons being tried for violating the so called “state secret act.” Yes, Ceesay and Jones are sons of Yahya Jammeh. They have not killed for the dictator, but had helped him to kill his opponents. About 90 percent of the stories reported by the two journalists over the years were bunch of lies. While Mam uses the Observer to sell Jammeh’s agenda, Jones uses GRT’S microphones to propagate hate messages against the opposition.

Gambians from all walks of life are happy about the arrest and prosecution of Ceesay and Jones. Their own colleagues at the GRTS are rejoicing over their recent predicament. They are happy that these sellouts had fallen out with their God father Yahya Jammeh.

To those of you who do not know Ceesay and Jones, the two are very poisonous. Thanks to Mam and Jones, many public servants have lost their jobs in The Gambia. They also caused the arrest and torture of the Freedom Newspaper subscribers in May of 2006. They even tried to undermine Saja Taal and GRTS’S Momodou Sanyang. Ebrima JT Kujabi was also on their list of undermining agenda.

The two are good friends. They meet after work and wine together. Having been both raised in Banjul, the two believe that they are smarter than their father Yahya Jammeh. They often extorts money from Jammeh in the name of social events. Jammeh had spent so  many thousands on these individuals. Jammeh has been known for dishing out money to state media workers. Most state media journalists criticizing him today, used to benefit from his handouts. It makes no sense to bite the spoon that feds you. You either sleep with the devil or leave him entirely.

International media watchdogs had been doing a good job by exposing the arrest of Ceesay and Jones, but what is imperative here is the sincerity and honesty of these journalists. As far as we are concerned, these journalists don’t deserve public sympathy as they are agents of hatred and violence. It’s their time to face the music. What goes around comes around.

Each time, Jammeh sacked his pet sons-be it in the Foreign Service, the Press, the army and Public Service, they try to align themselves with decent souls. These are what we call former puppets who allowed to be used for the sake of position and money. After been kicked out unceremoniously, they are left with no choice but to go back to the community they earlier vilified in the name of defending Jammeh’s programs. Life is full of fantasies.

One thing Yahya Jammeh has succeeded in doing during his 13 years in office, is by exposing the true colors of Gambians. There are many unprincipled folks around us. They can sell their souls just for the sake of position. Many are insulting Jammeh today, they used to be his bull dogs. Here you will able to measure the real and the unreal folks in the struggle. They are fake bent on promoting their own agendas.

Jammeh is not well schooled, but he is able to enslave our so called elites. These folks executed all kinds of dirty errands for him. In turn, they are rewarded with the inevitable sack. Unless, Gambians encourage the culture of self pride, Righteousness, sincerity and honesty, Jammeh would continues to use and abuse the unprincipled folks in our midst. These folks got to learn to sustain themselves independently without banking on Jammeh’s job offer.

Jammeh is right to some extent about the unproductiveness of our so called elites. They are not innovative at all. Each time they are fired, they go hungry for life. They lacked the necessary skills to run their own business. Without government jobs, these so called intellectuals are rendered redundant. They have no choice but to pick up unskilled jobs to move on or else risked starving to death. The very few who could not make it to Europe, survived on remittances from family members overseas.

Due to the high competition on the job market in the West, many African intellectuals are faced with numerous challenges. They often complained about discrimination in terms of employment opportunities. That, most of the highly paid jobs are given to Western citizens. That they are denied jobs due to their accent.

Knowing the trials and tribulations of the African elites, President Jammeh exploits these folks by subjecting them into constant hiring and firing. Interestingly, most of these people calling themselves elites don’t have a degree. They lied in their resumes or CVS just to win the confidence of the appointing authority, President Jammeh. They write bad English all the time and can hardly present good speeches.

The case of Malick Jones and Mam Sait Ceesay should serve as an eye opener to the Jammeh self appointed Jalibas-be it in the past or the present that the longest day must come to an end. Some of these Jalibas have stained themselves for good. They are going to find life miserable after the rein of Jammeh’s rule. There is no way that these shameless folks can get away with the amount of lies and hatred they peddled against our people. God’s time is the best. The dictatorship is gradually falling.
