Horomsi Exposes Jammeh and Spectrum Group
Facts are emerging regarding the sale of GAMTEL. The new owners of GAMTEL sacked the company’s Managing Director, Katim Touray and its IT Manager for tactical reasons. Touray was too hot for these money launderers. He refuses to be used by the owners of Spectrum Investment Group Holding, whose so called corporate offices is situated in Beirut Lebanon. The new owners were not comfortable with Touray’s uncompromising stance on accountability. That funds released from the new business venture most be properly accounted for, before wiring them to Lebanon. Little did Mr.Touray knows that Yahya Jammeh is a majority shareholder to this new telecommunication venture. His wife Zeinab Suma Jammeh too had family ties with the owners of Spectrum. Our findings revealed that the Gambian leader helped young businesses like Spectrum to gain grounds by awarding them contracts. Today, we shall provide you with a detailed report about this Lebanese Company.
President Jammeh is using Spectrum as a front to baffle Gambians-most importantly the electorates. He is a majority shareholder. All funds derived from the sale of GAMTEL is remitted to Lebanon. Mr. Touray was sacked because he offended President Jammeh. He wanted to stop Spectrum’s recent move to wire three quarter of GAMTEL’S budget to Lebanon. Ask the Bank officials at the Standard Chartered Bank, they will tell you how much money is remitted daily to Lebanon by Spectrum. All the funds are dollars. The company is working very hard to raise foreign exchange, which is hard to come by these days in The Gambia.

GAMTEL’S Legal team should be ready to explain how they acted too low to be blackmailed to prepare such major agreements. Katim resisted the pressure rather too late. He ought to have taken the same position when the privatization issue was being clandestinely reached. Gambians and friends of the Gambia would have hailed him if he had tendered his resignation at the time. This is what decent minds do. Waiting to be sacked is not ideal. Katim and Omar Ndow are both victims of betrayal and set up. They were used for a purpose by Jammeh. Both Ndow and Touray have their own stories to tell Gambians when the inevitable change knocks on Jammeh’s door.
A brief History about Spectrum Group!
For some of you who do not Spectrum Company, it is a small business establishment in Lebanon, which is less than the size of Africell. The company is not a major telemarketing company as bandit by the state. It’s also not in the position to make GAMTEL viable as claimed by Information Minister Neneh Macdowl Gaye. Yahya Jammeh is funding the company from our own coffers.

Spectrum mainly specializes on cellular phone marketing. Yahya Jammeh lobbied for the contract. He secretly signed the deal with them since he is a majority shareholder to the new venture. Jammeh is preparing for his safe exist from power so that he can have something to lay his hands on after his removal. He has long been planning to sell GAMTEL. Thanks to Edward Singhatey his earlier decision was stayed. One of the reasons for his strained relationship with Edu was due to the sale of GAMTEL. Edu stood openly before his colleagues and voices his opposition to the said move. Jammeh informed them about the sale of GAMTEL after he had already finalized the sale process.
I’m revealing all these details because Gambians deserve to know how the sale process took place. President Jammeh being the criminal he is, uses Neneh Macdowl Gaye to lie that GAMTEL was running out of budget. They did the same thing on the sale of NAWEC. SOS Gaye would live to regret this major blunder on her side, because Yahya Jammeh would soon dispose her off as he did to Katim Touray. She allowed to be used for few dalasis. We know how much money she received as “Kickbacks” following the sale of GAMTEL. All these facts would be reported online..
Gambia could be used by Terrorist Groups For recruiting and other activities!
The International Community should closely watch President Yahya Jammeh. He is using Arab Companies to vent his anger against the West. UK and US should intensify their terror watch list on the Gambia. We all know how Terrorist Groups hides in the name of investment to recruit its agents. We are not by any means linking Spectrum to such activities. We are merely urging the Western world to put an eye on Yahya Jammeh. He is wild and dangerous. He is capable of networking with the world’s most wanted terrorist “Bin Laden.” This President can sell his loved ones because of money and position.
The Kenyan bombings was masterminded by Arabs. Off late, Africa, has been used as a terrorist recruiting ground. Look at what’s happening in Somalia? How about Sudan? Bin Laden has openly said he had his group on the ground to cause mayhem in Sudan. These terrorists are making life difficult for freedom loving nations. This is why we supported President Bush’s war against terrorists and its supporters. They should be flushed out of this universe. Once this is done, the world would be an ideal place to live. There cannot be peace, as long as corrupt nations are backing terror groups.
Terror Groups targets countries with little or no natural resources. They hide in the name of investment to prepare their ground works. Western Embassies in The Gambia, should closely report to their respective governments about the Arab’s recent move of frequenting the Gambia. I’m a Muslim, but would speak out against any form of violence to vent out one’s anger. Terrorists are cowards, hell bent on smearing the name of Islam. Islam does not support the use of violence. Islam encourages dialogue, peace, unity and brotherhood. It’s unIslamic to use to force to cause unnecessary harm and suffering to a population.
GAMBIA’S Weak Intelligence!
There is a local company in The Gambia, which was granted license by the Attorney General office as a charitable organization. This NGO was used as a front by some human traffickers. Human trafficking is a real problem in The Gambia. The authorities are not doing much to stop the problem. Prior to the mass murder of the Ghanaians by the Jammeh Government, close to 60 young Ghanaians were trafficked into this country. Some were exposed to slavery jobs before they were handed to their slave masters. These young Ghanaians were trafficked to Europe through a contact person in Banjul. Some of these kids died on the way, while the lucky ones were used as sexual toys by their captives. They were used for prostitution.
The Ghanaian Government is complacent in their bid to drag Yahya Jammeh to court. There are enough evidence linking Jammeh to the murder of their nationals. These Ghanaians were killed by the state guards. There is no doubt about that. I have list of names to release to the International Community in days to come. The list is about the soldiers who participated into the killings of these young sailors. The Ghanaians can use the said list to beef up their case. There is too much talking without action. The Kufor Government must handle this case with seriousness. Human life is precious. It should not be joke with.
If this company human trafficking company poised as genuine investors, what is stopping terrorist groups from exploiting our fragile security situation. The NIA is not capable of detecting such groups, neither the police. Our intelligence is just so weak so to speak.
Katim Touray is being watched by the State!
The sacked GAMTEL MD Katim Touray should watch his back. The Gambian state is watching him closely. Katim knows a lot about President Jammeh during his short association with him. The President is the least comfortable seeing Katim walking freely in the streets of Banjul. Touray might as well be arrested soon on fake charges. Touray have two choices. One, to leave the country. Two, to rally behind President Jammeh and ask for forgiveness even though he had not committed any crime. Abdou Jobe “Ndobin” of NAWEC did the same thing just to save his head.
Yahya is a betrayer. He uses our so called intellectuals only to discard them like a trash. Today, sacked officials like Ndobin, Katim and others cannot be hired by any of the local companies. They will automatically fail background checks. Most employers are afraid to hire officials sacked by President Jammeh. Jammeh is right. Each time he fires people, they will not find jobs in the Gambia. The private sector too heeds to his dictates or risked having their businesses closed for good.
