Hezbollah Storms Gambia

There are disturbing revelations reaching the Freedom Newspaper, regarding President Yahya Jammeh’s recent move to welcome Hezbollah rebel fighters in The Gambia, in the name of  Investment. These Hezbollah former warlords were brought to the country, thanks to Spectrum’s Chief Executive officer Muhammed Bashi. They are scattered in different locations across the impoverished West African country. While in the Gambia, they handled Spectrum’s business activities and other official errands. Today, we are pleased to uncover multi million dollars Gam -Petroleum deal reached between President Yahya Jammeh and his new pet boy Muhammed Bashi. Gam-Patroleum site is situated in Mandinary. Gas gifts extended to the Gambia, by Iran are trafficked through the said site. The project was first awarded to businessman Amadou Samba. Samba executed the contract half way, but was fired by Muhammed Bashi and President Jammeh. He was accused of delaying the construction process. Consequently, Samba was fired by Jammeh.

Muhammed Bashi is a confirmed deportee. He was deported from Sierra Leone due to shady business activities. He was not only involved in the sale of diamonds, but was also meddling into Sierra Leone’s domestic politics. Some of his Lebanese family members are still in Freetown selling rice and sugar. President Jammeh has made repeated appeals to former President Kaba to grant Amnesty to Bashi, but the Sierra Leonean leader never entertains Jammeh’s request. Bashi was linked to fanning political unrest in that war ravaged West African country. He is yet to clear himself on allegations of selling conflict diamonds.

A reliable source working with Spectrum Group Gambia, has told the Freedom Newspaper that half of Mr.Bashi’s workers were members of the Hezbollah guerrilla faction, which is reputed to be engaged in terror activities. One of  these workers, is posted at Spectrum’s Brikama offices. “The Head of the Brikama offices is a relative of Mr.Bashi. He was a former member of Hezbollah. He has been recounting his days in Hezbollah and his hatred for the West. These people are in Banjul for a Mission. Very few people knows their social connections. They are runaway Hezbollah fighters. They are not investors.” said our source.

Investigations conducted by this paper reveals that the GAM-Patroleum project was co financed by Iran. Muhammed Bashi, we gathered has invited his Hezbollah brothers to head key positions in the said project. Bashi has been accused of undermining Amadou Samba by misrepresenting him to the President. “Bashi has been lying against people to the President. He undermines Amadou Samba. He also undermines other contractors. This man works hand in hand with Jammeh. The President listened to this man a lot. Bashi is not a Government official, but he is being guarded by the paramilitary. They escort him to work and also provides him with residential security. Bashi’s own Hezbolla brother recently slapped a police officer at Denton bridge. Nothing came out of this case. They disrespect everybody in this country.” said our source.

Bashi has claimed that his life was threatened, even though there was no such threats. He is framing people on his own accord. The state is providing him with 24 hours security. He fires his workers at his own will. The President supports his actions.

While Bashi is being linked to the sale of  diamonds, his workers are also claiming to have been grossly underpaid by the GAMTEL’S new owners. Spectrum is reported to be using Gambians for cheap labor. The Company is also not committed in maintaining fulltime staffers. Most of those hired are on contract. Spectrum is partly owned by President Jammeh and some few Lebanese Nationals.

Jammeh and Bashi Owned Gam Petroleum

Gam Petroleum is surely and wholly owned by President Jammeh and Muhammed Bashi. Amadou Samba was invited to help construct the site in Mandinary, but later had problems with the owners. Samba receives the rudest shock of his life when Jammeh and Bashi suspended his contract. The contract was in the tune of about $2Million dollars. Samba lost the said deal, following infighting within the Presidency. Bashi wanted to bring his own people to run the show for him, but would not pay them decent salary. These workers spent long hours at work, only to be paid in piecemeal. Bashi is a real hustler. He uses people as slaves. Just visit the Mandinary Gam Petroleum site and see for yourself.

Iran is supposed to help equip the Petroleum site. Oil coming into this country would be channeled through that site. Besides, Bahsi, no one here import Castrol oil in The Gambia. He ordered most of the oils and Gas. He determines the price, thanks to his co business partner President Jammeh.

Iran has been helping the people of The Gambia. President Jammeh is hiding these projects from people. He is conspiring with Hezbollah to engage in money laundering schemes. Western Missions should closely monitor developments and report to their respective governments. The Gambia is a terrorist recruiting ground. These Hezbollah runaway fighters are regrouping in Banjul to further advance their cause. These people are capable of funding terror groups in the middle East. Third world countries like the Gambia, often fall into the prey of such criminals, who induced them with few dollars be granted investor status.

The Lebanese Gambian Community are not in support of Mr.Bashi’s activities. He is bringing Hezbollah into our country on a regular basis. Tarik Musa is currently in Dubai, according to the source we spoke to. He must be shocked by Bashi’s recent move to undermine Amadou Samba. Tarik was very instrumental in helping Bashi to gain grounds in The Gambia. The same Tarik Musa initiated the AU Villa project.   He gave so many business tips  to Bashi and President Jammeh.

Terror Groups operate in different ways. They can poised as investors. Some poised as Non charitable organizations. They used such organizations to raise funds in a bid to prepare their callous and deadly attacks. Hezbollah presence in The Gambia should be a cause for concern to the Western world. No one is talking about it. The CIA, FBI, MI5 and other western intelligence outfits should visit Gambia and see for themselves, the activities taking place on the ground. It’s better to prevent a crisis situation than to  wait until these fighters scattered on the sub-region. There is absolute need to monitor the activities of these so called investors. Monies wired outside the Gambia should be closely monitored.

Amadou Samba Owns Properties in The UK

The same source who spoke to us said Amadou Samba had numerous properties in the UK. The source said Samba is currently  frustrated by the political uncertainties in the country and was even considering  moving to  the UK. The source said Samba had been betrayed by Bashi and Jammeh who cancelled his contracts for no official reasons.

President Jammeh continued the source had since minimized his dealings with Samba. “ He believes in Bashi and his group. Samba has been reduced to nothing. The President don’t listen to him any more.” said our source.

Iranian Guards Training Soldiers At Kanilai.

It has come to the attention of the Freedom Newspaper about an ongoing army training conducted in Kanilai, the President’s birth place by some Iranian soldiers. The training has been going on for a while now. These soldiers are trained on close combat, heavy artillery among other things.
