Jammeh rewrites History, attacks the West, marginalises Christianity and outllaws Civil Partnerships
Dear Mr.Editor,
May i thank the Freedom Newspaper for the constructive comments of Mr.Saidy Khan from Louisville, Kentucky..the home of 3 times World heavyweight boxing Champion..Muhammed Ali.I am sorry for the delay in responding..but i have been trying to absorb the speach from President Jammeh and the editorial from the Banjul Observer concerning cyber terrorism. Both reflect on terrorism but in a different way. I have been thinking for some time now about the possible motives of the president in his affliction towards  Iran,Venezuela and now Lebanon. The theme of His Excellancy ..is to escolate  abuse to the Western democracies , but now includes a clear attack on Christianity. This may present a clear warning of impending trouble in West Africa. For this kind of unprovoked attack sends all the wrong signals to the Free World and his peaceful African neighbours .The clear defence of Saddam Hussein, stateing that he was executed by hanging by the West for killing 148 civilians in self defense, does not speak very highly of his grip on reality.Sadam, { may his soul find eternal rest } was tried and convicted by a court made up from the judiciary of  Iraq. The mass execution of innocent men women and children of  Kurdish origin by the Iraqi airforce by deadly gas , was one of his more noted crimes against humanity, but there were many others thought to be in many thousands if not in hundreds of thousands.Whilst i personally, never supported British intervention , the decision to join our allies was taken by a majority vote in the British Parliament. The President returns to some semblance of cohesion..when he states that Suni's have been killing Sheites and vice versa in what appears to be fueled by insurgents and outside terrorist forces..competing for influence, in the emerging aftermath of allied intervention and disruption of rebuilding the nation and restoring Government to the people. The President further idealizes that 99% of people dying today are Muslims. This now joins his proclamation that 99% of all aids sufferers are Black.Clearly , my former friend needs to join his closest school and ask the children of the gambia how childish and misinformed he is about both statistics.Any child , fortunate to have access to a computer...will clearly instruct him on how to find the correct mathmatics to his assertions. He further states, that  the West now believes all terrorists are Muslim.Let me reassure The President, that the London bombings and those of 9/11 that he refers to were not carried out by Hindus,Buddists,Christians or Jehovas witnesses....to exhonerate but just a few. They were proudly proclaimed by Osama Bin Laden to be his fellow Muslims. If they dont want this infamous price tag..then they should refrain from killing the innocent indiscriminately.Within these atrocities..many innocent muslims joined the" bad "whitepeople in an earlier than planned visit to heaven.I join His Excellancy the President in acknowledging that the Holy Quoran does not approve of killing in any shape or form. For the majority, peaceful coigsistance with all peoples of the World of every faith and denomination..is the true spirit of Islam and for that matter all other worthy religions including Christianity. My advice to President Jammeh..is to drop this religious pitch at the soonest oppertuinty.Religion is a personal matter of faith..not political agenda. To fuel religion allied to terrorism and politics, can only serve to devide and isolate and discriminate all who follow this  bankrupt philosophy.Such idle banter is unbecomming a President and serves only to insight people to fear and outrage.
The interesting editorial on the Banjul Observer relating to cyber terrorists is in my opinion most educative in a fasinating way.It is so highly charged with political motive that it fails in its assumptions in every unremarkable way.It almost patronisingly promotes the internet as a forum where by all peoples of the World can join in harmonious celebration.....But excludes those who speak with conviction and with a different point of view.I think 99% of World wide users....would agree with this assumption. But as i have not conducted a survey....to affirm this in the positive...The writer..should attempt to gain a visa to the free World to conduct his own study. He should view the former commander of the gambian armed forces giving his view on an alternative and highly educative web site..expounding the unlimited oppertunities for personal progress in the West.Clearly, the writer of this editorial..has lead a very sheltered and unremarkable life.As a reminder to the Gentleman, it is now the year of our Lord 2007.We have progressed from the cave ..to the wheel  through steam , the combustion engine and  up into  the sky  to fly like a bird  and on into Space exploration. If man can survive this milenium and challenge Global warming issues and eliminate terrorism ...We may yet prove worthy to colonise the Universe.I am sorry if the word colonise offends you....but this is how progress travels to less progressive civilisations .It is like a bird...it knows no boundaries.
Returning to Mr Saidy Khan....you were saying ?
