Jammeh Wants Jaliba Kuyateh’s Tongue As Ritual

Horomsi: Jaliba Kuyateh is running for his life. The death of South African reggae star Luky Dube is creating a big shake-up on the continent. This comes amid reports that Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh was advised by his Marabout to murder Jaliba Kuyateh so that he can further cling onto to power. Jaliba has since been criss crossing the sub-region soliciting for prayers. He was advised by his Marabout to take security measures in a bid to avoid being killed. That President Jammeh has planned to use him as a sacrificial lamb. That he Jaliba  risked losing his life soon. Weeks later, Luky Dube was murdered cold blood by some gunmen. Jaliba have good reasons to be scared. President Jammeh is capable of taking his life just to stay in power.

For the past months, Jaliba has not been showing up to public functions. He was billed to perform in different localities, but he never showed up. He was briefly in Guinea Bissau. His Marabout has advised that he should resign  from the art field or leave the country. Jaliba is not keen at quitting his profession.

President Jammeh is after Jaliba’s tongue. His Marabout had asked him to produce the tongue of a leading Musician as a ritual known as "sarah or Sadaar."  This according to the Marabout’s “lestiharr” or fortune telling would save the President from being toppled if provided. Jaliba is Gambia’s leading Musician today. Therefore, he is an open target.

President Jammeh will never deny that he was not advised to take the life of Jaliba Kuyateh. He also cannot deny that he had asked some army men to shoot and kill Jaliba. There is a ploy reached to  take Jaliba's life.  Hit and run shooting is being contempulated by his killers. These killers are wild. They talk openly in Bars. Jaliba needs to leave this  country,  as soon as possible. President Jammeh is after his head. That I can confirm.

This is not a rumor. It’s a true story. Jaliba’s own family are worried. They are taking out charity  day in day out. What happened to the Brushibi show? Jaliba should avoid walking by himself at night. He should hire trained security guards.
