Raleigh Imam Kanteh Expresses the need for Muslims to be God fearing!!

.jpg) On Friday,12th.October,2007, the Sene-Gambian Muslim Community in Raleigh, once more gathered at the Samorr's Skate Ranch in celebration of the Idul Fitre as they used to do for the past 4 years.By 8:00am the place was nearly full,while arrival of the Imam Amadou Kanteh was next at 8:30am accompanied by his Naib Pa Ebou Jeng.A wellcome prais was done by the congregation repeating Allahu Akbar,Allahu Akbar,Allahu Akbarr,Alamdoulila,Wlilahilamdou several times.
The Imam first informed the crowd after greeting them that Zakatul Fitre should be given out before the Id Prayer, otherwise it is not valid.He led the congregation in a 2 Rakat Salat and made sermon on faithfulness to Allah(s.w.t.),avoid swearing to Allah on matters that they are not sure of as mentioned by the holly prophet Muhammad(p.b.h.). The Raleigh Imam therefore warned the Muslim congregation to fear Allah,because every one shall account for his or her deeds on the Day of Judgment. He stresses the need for Muslims to be God fearing and comply with the dictates of holly book the Koran.
Finally, Raleigh Naib,Mr. Shiekh Khan and Aji Amie Kah both expressed their happiness to the Id and further advised the Sene-Gambian Community to show more soliderity within themselves.Prayers,thanks and forgiveness were the last thing done as common on Ids' Prayers. |
