No time to cry over spilled milk!!!!
No time to cry over spilled milk!!!!
I think the remaining NADD leadership now understand the will of the Gambian people, both at home and abroad and that the enormous support that they have received so far would give them more courage to continue to thrust the machine that would eventually dismantle the Jammeh/A(F)PRC dictatorship once and for all.

Many genuinely patriotic Gambians are hungry to play their part without any unrealistic expectations to see through this phase of our national democratic transformation.

I appeal to all progressive Gambians to accept the new status quo and move forward. We have been delayed for too long by the same people.

It is as important that we continue to be vigilant regarding the backward tribalistic tendencies that has been lurking within our circles. We Should'nt be  talking about dislodging Jammeh alone. Our focus must be, the transformation of our very nature as human beings and the way we manage our collective affairs as a nation.

This is the beginning of the end of nepotism, tribalism, Feudalism dictatorship, self-honouring "pettybourgois" manipulations, corruption, intolerance and the other ills suffocating our people.

It is the time for collective approach to our national development. The accommodation of all progressives in spite of the gape in our capabilities and ideological differences. These fundamental aspects of our progress should be handled with the interest and love for the toiling masses.

Peaceful change should be our goal despite the very frank and though discussions we are engaged in.

The NADD members of the National Assembly should now take up the question of second round of voting in any elections. This is the time to challenge the Jammeh/A(F)PRC dictatorship on their attempt to manipulative the electorate. In this way, the NADD resignee would also face the tune of his own drumming.

The outstanding issues regarding the political-criminal cases against honourable citizens should be taken up in this era of euphoria.

The grass root activist must be given more say in all decision making NADD  engaged in so as to avoid developing an elite oriented Alliance.

We commend the new culture of transparency and openness but try to do more in that field. People would always speculate when the leadership is silent.

The current process has exposed the A(F)PRC and any other concoction that  leaders of organisations are chosen through merit and not dictates. That the organisations importance reigns supreme to any individual member or leader.

We shall not return to the stone-age fanfare personal mystification politics that some people are used to.

I hope that the rest of the UPD and NRP member continue to work with NADD. for a cohesive and democratic Gambia.

I would like to commend the independent media. They have shown that they are true partners in the struggle for peace, democracy and development. They have shown maturity in spite of all the errors committed in this new experience. Jammeh should learn from them a bit or two about tolerance, non-censorship of ideas and democratic media reporting.

No more grieve but the gathering of all strength to move forward.
