Journalist PK Jarju Praises Micheal Scales!!
Editor,
Please kindly allow me space in your paper to thank Michael Scales.
Commending Michael Scales
Mr Michael Scale's desire to help fund Momodou Sanneh's treatment in the United Kingdom is indeed very commendable.
While many wealthy Gambians could not bother giving a helping hand to a needy brother, Mr Scale's willingness to take the trouble of assisting a Gambian he have never met in his life, speaks volumes of his love for The Gambian and her people.
I wish to point out that I have never met the geezer personally neither do I know which part of the United Kingdom he lives. I only read his contributions on this very paper. And if I am to pass a honest judgement on him, I will describe him as a very sincere man who is interest in the development of The Gambian and Africa in general.
I say thank you so much Mr Scale. You are indeed a friend of The Gambia. I call you a friend of our nation simply because only a few kind hearted foreign nationals like you will spend huge financial resources and time in helping The Gambia and her people without expecting something in return.
Secondly, know how busy life in Britain is, it is only a kind hearted geezer like you who would take the trouble of sending mails to the British High Commission in Banjul and the Daily Observer in a bid to help a needy Gambian get the much needed operation that would change his life for the better.
Keep up the good work Mr Scales, God bless you and your family.
