Yahya's failed Set-set-al and Others- Town Crier Writes!
I and the Gambian people have seen your so-called development you claim to
have done and still  doing around your empire in Kanilai.  And we do agree
when you say Gambia is developing because to you, there is no difference
between Gambia and Kanilai or Yahya and Gambia. They are all one and the
same.We are not jealous but we want to know who financed the building
of the the mansion you live in, in Kanilai? It is rather unfortunate that we have a
coward of a tail of state ; for to be a head, you have to be in the fore
front and allow the people to be in charge of their country. But what we
have seen is you hiding behind the curtain and using people to carry on your
dirty games and tricks.Your are there a tail wagging from behind us whether
we like it or not. We have the State house in Banjul and that is where any
Gambian leader is supposed to be running our affairs. Suppose every
government official chooses to set up base at his/her home town where they
are more comfortable and more secure? Would you buy that idea? No! So why
did you build a mansion in Kanilai and move the affairs of our government to
such a hamlet? Why are you engaged in businesses that are a source of
conflict with your job of "waste tent" as you are not fit to e called a
president as the only thing you are preciding on is Yahya and family and not
The Gambia? Why do you have the Sindola Hotel where you lodge most visitors
at the expense of our tax money? Why do you own the Karaiba where you also
house other heads of state and also carry many state functions? Why are you
pocketing our hard earned money? Are you trying to save or sink Gambia by
engaging in such nefarious deeds? Think and answer for yourself.

Why are the residents of Kanilai enjoying a free 24/7 supply of electricity
when others can hardly afford bonga fish. Are they more Gambian than we do?
No I refuse. In fact we are more Gambian than most of them. The people of
the Gambia need and want to know why the unlevel privileges?

Oga don't joke with us. A day will come and is coming; we will tear down the
mansion since it was built with our money. You better start collecting
receipts. And it better be now. Even if we go before you, our kids will do
it on our behalf as we are cataloguing your excesses.

*Yahya's failed Set-Set-al*

The question one may need to ask himself/herself is this, has The nation of
Gambia become any more cleaner than before the starting of the forced clean
up programme initiated by the Kanilai dictator? Not absolutely with what we
are seeing here. When my friend Parrot came here, we decided to take a
stroll on a set-set-al day. We hardly saw any soul doing anything until we
arrived at Shell pertrol station on Kairaba. We say a poor malnorished man
trying to gather some papers using a stick as a broom. The most interesting
was that he was the only one and no one paid attention as people walked pass
him. People are more preoccupied with daily survival than forced clean up.
Parrot asked me why people where no longer interested in the clean up
programme which is good for the country. "Boy, we are interested but if
Yahya things he owns us, let him come to our houses and force us out. People
should have been sensitised about the need for environmental sanitation
instead of being forced to clean up when their monies are being paid for
clean up which never seems to be done here as you can see the piles for
yourself. This clean up is a total failure. Yahya is good at setting
unenforceable laws. He banned women in the service to bleach themselves. He
even banned the sale of bleach in the Gambia, but go the our markets and see
for yourself. Look at our service women both in the army and the police.
Where are those rules? This man behaves by instinct and not by thought. Let
him be the fool he is for a wise man once said "leave fools alone as you
have nothing to learn from them". He should learn from Yar' Adua. He is
undoing some of the mess of Obasanjoamong which was the privatisation of a
national cellphone company as Yahya has selfishly done to Gamtel  and that
is what will happen after Yahya. Baby Mohammed cannot rule us. We won't
allow a Fidel Castro handing over style here in Gambia. Upon our dead
bodies. Baahna!"

Yahya can own himself and Kanilai but not us. He can name the road leading
to Kianilai as Yahya Jammeh highway and we careless but he cannot continue
to use us and insult us like kids. Stay tuned. Wasalam.
