Plans Are Afoot To Fly Jammeh to Cuba For Treatment!!!

Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh has been officially diagnozed with diabetic, health Ministry officials revealed today. Plans are afoot to fly him overseas for further medical attention, the Freedom Newspaper was reliably informed today by Health Ministry officials. The President is reported to be suffering from constant headaches, weight loss and lack of apatite. “ Both the President and his Mum are suffering from diabetic. He has been officially diagnosed with diabetics. His Mum too Asombi Bojang  is suffering from diabetics. We conducted a test on the President and lab results so far have revealed he had diabetics in his system. In order to avoid public alarm, doctors have recommended that his treatment program be conducted overseas.” Said an official of the Health Ministry.

The President is increasingly worried by his recent sickness. Health Ministry sources said the President’s diabetics have reached an advance stage and he needs urgent attention. “Since his mother is living with the disease, evidently he is bound to get it. All scientific preliminary tests conducted here revealed that he has diabetics. This is the official side of the story. The President has diabetics. It’s unfortunate that he is suffering from the disease.” Said a senior medical officer at the Royal Victoria Hospital.

The President’s ailing health was said to be getting out of hand and had asked to be flown overseas for possible medical attention. The Gambian leader who recently announces that he had found cure for aids, asthma and other tropical diseases is posed to die if he fails to take care of his new diagnosed disease.

Diabetics is an inheritable disease. Doctors say the President might have inherited the disease from his mother, whose diabetics status was established three years ago. The old woman has been living with the disease for sometime now. She was advised by doctors to avoid eating rice and other sugary foods. 

  Kawsu Bojang, is the Chief Nursing officer attached to the President’s Mum Asombi Bojang. This reporter on numerous occasions met Kawsu at the RVH collecting diabetics medication for the President’s Mum. Kawsu Bojang is President Jammeh’s cousin. Kawsu is residing in Brikama Kabafita.

The President’s Mum travels to the United States twice every year to receive medication at a Washington DC Hospital. She is accompanied by Kawsu, each time she visits the US.

The Gambian leader is yet to leave Banjul for his overseas treatment. Reports have it that he had two countries on his travel schedule,  Cuba or Iran. Foreign Ministry sources said there is yet to be any definitive decision reached for the President’s port of treatment.  

The Gambian leader has joined the Guinean President Alasana Conteh's sick club. His sickness is being kept secret for fear of public panic. Health Ministry sources today officially confirmed his diabetics status.
