CHERNO SHOULD COME CLEAN AND STOP RIGMAROLLING

Reading from the usual ramblings in the name of lectures from Cherno Baba Jallow is that he is out to defend only Sarjo Jallow and no chei there is no need of a full disclosure and better still you did know the man in question and you read the online papers every single day. This is my belief.

First of all, I wish to put it to you that, it is best to write simple concise languages than an open ended superfluous words and quotations that no one understands. Since your days at the Observer, it was always boring and confusing to read your pieces. Mind you, this was a time when there was no University in the Gambia and very few people have time with those big well for nothing words.

I believe Cherno should have come clean and challenge the Freedom Newspaper directly.Eventhough, he mentioned a little bit about the story of Edward as Speaker and Edward Mugged; a good part of the piece was dedicated towards defending his so called neighbor Sarjo Jallow; I think the wife herself exercised great maturity when she directly came forward and cleared the air. This is the greatest integrity one can get in this world of ours. I dearly respect her.

It is high time that Gambians begin to give the devil its due and start clamoring praises on this great medium that is the beacon of Gambian journalism. In this trying times of the Gambian media, the freedom Newspaper have tirelessly gone towards given Gambians the story that is being put under the carpet. It informs, educates and propagate for the liberation of our country. Without Freedom, I don’t know where we would be now. I think it should be fair enough to give credit to this guy.

I don’t know what type of training and expertise he gains in Journalism. Writing long and incomprehensive essays is not a trade of journalism but opinion writers. I do not the least enjoy the pieces and do not regard you as an authority who matters in journalism.

It’s better to come clean and say I am a loyal fan of Sarjo Jallow and let no one criticize him. That would be better than beating about the bush [rigmarolling].I think I was too soft in my words but it is a warning; please stop demeaning people’s efforts if you can’t supplement it. A word for a wise is sufficient.

Editors note: Thanks Cassandara for speaking your mind. Agreed, Chei should be man enough to mention the Freedom Newspaper in his so called essay. He got to be a man and stop the double standards. We have our medium and we are ready to engage him at any time. Respect can only be accorded to him if he behaves properly. We are not dummies to be played with it.
