BY YANKUBA JAMBANG
The United Nations and the African Union should tell Gambians why president Jammeh should not be indicted by the international court for crimes against humanity. The Gambia's dictator did alot together with Charles Taylor to fuel that horrific and senseless civil war in Sierraleone that claimed thousands of lives and maimed many more.

UN SECRETARY GENERAL
It would be recalled that the UN imposed a travel ban on Charles Taylor and some important figures in his government some not far distant years ago. This same ban forbade Baba Jobe travelling outside the Gambia. Baba Jobe was closest to Yahya Jammeh and managed his personal aircraft "Millennium" air. Baba Jobe was untouchable until recently when Jammeh sacrificed him and got lucked up.

DISGRACED TAYLOR
ARRESTED!!!
On April 10 and 11, 2000, the Gambian paramilitary on President Jammeh's orders opened fire on innocent teenage students during a demonstration. 12 precious lives were cut short! During the same demonstration, our colleague, Omar Barrow was shot dead at close range by Jammeh's men.
It was Jammeh's dead squad that killed Deday Hydara. The evidence is: Not a single Gambian owns a rifle other than a hunting gun. No Gambian walks the streets with a hand gun; it is only Jammeh's security forces who carry such weapons. No Gambian has ever, ever been accused of even threatning an important public figure like Deyda, talk less of gunning him down!
Jammeh's government is still implicated in the death of then finance Minister Ousman Koro Ceesay.Jammeh and his government are still hiding the truth: Gambia government killed Koro.
It's also known to both Senegalese and Gambians that Jammeh was behind the MFDC rebels in southern Senegalese province of Cassamance. His government knew and acknowledged their fundraising activities in the country. The then MFDC spokesman Alex. Djibba was based at Bakau, Gambia and the Gambia government was responsible for his expenses. I interviewed Djibba with my colleage at Atlantic hotel in Banjul during one of those so called peace talks.
Recently, there have been reports of Jammeh having executed some of the alleged coupists. If confirmed, this will be another testimony to AU, UN that Jammeh should be classified as one of Africa's worst dictators as was late Milton Abote and Idi Amin of Uganda, Sani Abacha of Nigeria, Dr. Kamusus Banda of Malawi, Bokasa of Central African republic, Eyadema of of Togo and Seku Toure of Guinea.
UN should indicte Jammeh immediately on these crimes and many more. As for the AU, it should cancel the slated summit in Banjul giving the fact that the Gambia's lunatic head of state has no regards for the rule of law and basic human rights.
