Breaking News: Gambian UN Peacekeeper Dies In Sudan!!!!!

A Gambian police officer on peacekeeping mission in the troubled region of Sudan, has died, the Freedom Newspaper can authoritatively report. The death of police Sub Inspector Baba Touray, has been announced. Mr. Touray who hailed from Pirang village Kombo East, Western Division left his wife and two kids behind. The police command said officer Touray met his untimely death in Sudan. He was said to be suffering from stomach pain prior to his demise.
Mr. Touray was recently promoted to the rank of Sub Inspector. While in Sudan, he was carrying the rank of Sergeant, according to police sources. He was working at the police’s Financial Department in Banjul before his deployment to Sudan.
Family sources said Baba Touray has been suffering from stomach well before his Sudan Mission assignment. The command has been accused of failing to thoroughly screen out peacekeepers, before sending them on mission.
Mr. Touray’s body is expected to be laid to rest in Pirang. Family sources have expressed shock over the demise of their loved one. The late Baba Touray spent over ten months in Sudan on peacekeeping.
