It would be recalled that officer Kebbeh together with two security operatives namely Sarjo Kuyateh of the NIA and Bolong Mara Sanneh of Custom were arrested sometime in May 2007 while on duty at the Dasilami border post near the Brikama, Kombo Central. The trio were accused of allowing dissident rebels to enter the shores of the Gambia with the sole aim of dislodging the Jammeh regime.
However, Sarjo Kuyateh and Bolong Mara Sanneh were both released after few weeks of detention at the NIA headquarter in Banjul while Mr Kebbeh was still held in custody. After spending several months at the NIA cell, Kebbeh was transferred to the Mile 2 .No charges has yet been pressed against him by the Gambia Government .
