A weak and pale looking former NIA agent Yahya Bajinka, resurfaces after he was feared dead. Yahya who served Gambia’s most feared and brutal intelligence outfit, the NIA is now a freeman. He was released from prison by the Gambian authorities. Signs of  frustration could be seen visible on Yahya’s face. This reporter personally met Yahya Bajinka at their Brikama home, where a sizeable crowd of well-wishers, sympathizers, friends and family members converged to welcome the missing former NIA agent.

Yahya Bajinka who is the brother to the erstwhile ADC Kalifa Bajinka, was very mindful with bid cautious  when people called to check on him. He never conversation about his the conditions of his prolonged detention.

Correspondent Wise Man tried to interview him, but he cited safety issues. He declined to grant any interviews for now. Yahya paleness scared his visitors. “ Yahya is a dead man walking. How can this boy make it? Just look at his weight? He is very weak. He weighs  less than 80 kilograms. Yahya Jammeh is a witch. He wants to eat this poor boy.” Said a visitor.

Editors Note: We welcomed the release of Yahya Bajinka. We wish him speedy recovery from the pain and sufferings he suffered from the hands of his former colleagues- the trigger happy gun totting soldiers.

We achieved something from our story- that’s we have succeeded in compelling  the Government to produce Yahya’s body. We also ask the same Government to produce Chief Manneh  in the sprit of national reconciliation. We call for the release of all political detainees. Thanks for your attention
