Libya, Cuba and Ukraine helped Yahya Jammeh to fan the Liberian and Sierra Leonean decade long war, reveals a leaked intelligence report. The named countries supplied arms and ammunition to the Government of President Yahya Jammeh during the war in Sierra Leone and Liberia. Arms received from these nations were trafficked to the two manor river nations, in exchange for “ blood diamonds.”, the leaked report revealed.

The Libyan Government, which has been a strong supporter of the Jammeh Government had suspended all arms deal with the Gambia, following the jailing of Baba Kajali Jobe. The move was in protest to the Government’s refusal to free Baba Jobe. Jobe was instrumental in brokering diplomatic ties between Banjul and Libya. He was schooled in Libya. He bagged BA in soil science.

The notorious arms dealer Bouts was Jammeh’s client, according to the leaked intelligence report, which is currently in the hands of the Freedom Newspaper Editors. Correspondents Justice Sam and MB Ceesay are busy compiling the damning report, which would no doubt attract the interest of the United Nations and other parties who are affected by Jammeh's genocidal act. Our sources are in active duty and we have no reason to disbelieve them. They have proven to be reliable over the years.

Mr. Bouts who was recently apprehended was said to have smuggled a forty foot container filled with deadly weapons to The Gambia, in 1996. Some of these arms were trafficked to Liberia and Sierra Leone, according to the report.

The Gambian Government according to sources used proceeds derived from the said arms sale to finance part of its election campaign and so called developmental projects. Bouts was busy crisis crossing Banjul and Ukraine, while arms were being trafficked to Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Neither the Sierra Leonean Government, nor the Liberian Government at the time were privy to the said deal, with the exception of Charles Taylor, who was very instrumental in the arms sale  between bouts and Jammeh of The Gambia. Diamonds derived from the said arms deal were taken to Antwerp Belgium for sale. For more on this story, stay tuned.
